The six-course menu here is built around the six basic tastes, each course dedicated to one: salty, sweet, bitter, fatty, sour, umami. It's a creative fine dining concept from chef Daniel Gottschlich, who holds two Michelin stars, set inside the dramatic Kranhaus 1 building with industrial bones and harbour views. The room is more Cologne than cathedral, meaning loud and warm rather than hushed and reverent.
