    A soft pink palazzo perched above the Amalfi Coast, its gardens tumbling down the mountainside toward the sea. This mountaintop hotel has been around forever, a proper old-school Ravello institution with clifftop views that make it hard to check out on time. The Avino family runs it with the kind of attention you notice. Guests arrive for the scenery and stay for the particular stillness that comes with being very high up and very far from anything ordinary.
