    Art deco curves and inlaid panels run through a former 17th-century convent in the Tridente, making Palazzo Ripetta feel more like a private gallery than a hotel. The owner's contemporary art collection fills the public areas, which keeps things from tipping into period-costume territory. Seventy-eight rooms lean into pale tones with rich accents. The rooftop bar and open courtyard draw Romans, always a decent signal. Forbes Four Star.
