    Occupying the top floors of a 52-story Shinjuku tower, this luxury hotel is where Bill Murray got lost in translation and where every room looks out over a city that never quite resolves into something you can hold in your head. A 2025 renovation by Studio Jouin Manku refreshed the look without touching the original's quiet restraint. The New York Bar, Alain Ducasse's Girandole, and a Japanese restaurant with Mt. Fuji views keep you from needing to leave.
