    A boutique hotel in Shinjuku with a front-row seat to Central Park's shrines and footpaths, and a short ride from the sprawling gardens of Shinjuku Gyo-en. Rooms run minimalist, deep blues and grays, some with park views. On-site, the Morethan Tapas Lounge handles cocktails and the occasional DJ, while the bakery keeps breakfast mercifully unfussy. The hotel will also sort you a bike rental, which in this neighborhood is not a bad idea at all.
