    The Ferragamo family's fourteen-suite hotel sits above one of the family's own boutiques on Via dei Condotti, which should tell you everything about the register. Original sketches by Salvatore himself hang alongside photographs of 1950s Rome, giving the rooms a quiet backstory that most luxury hotels buy in bulk. A guests-only rooftop terrace wraps around the skyline, and the concierge thinks in terms of vintage Vespas rather than museum pamphlets.
