The khao soi here swaps the usual chicken for duck confit, which tells you something about how seriously this East Village restaurant takes the Isaan cooking of Northeastern Thailand. The menu is short and the kitchen leans into that, making each dish with the kind of care that only works at small scale. The Michelin Guide has taken notice. Taro ice cream over coconut sticky rice closes things out on a note nobody argues with.
