Tempura Otsuka
Tempura Japanese
Wooden tablets inscribed with neighborhood supporters' names line the walls, giving this tempura counter the feel of a local shrine as much as a restaurant. The chef, born and raised in Iriya, runs the meal in the classical Edomae style, moving from delicate tiger prawn and squid through to bolder catches you won't find on most menus. Old Tokyo feels closer here than it does almost anywhere else in the city.
