Perched across the top floors of a Kitaaoyama high-rise, this hotel floats above one of Tokyo's most design-obsessed neighborhoods while keeping it very much in view through floor-to-ceiling windows. Rooms run mid-century modernist, all low-slung furniture and warm wood against the city grid below. Aoyama's boutiques, restaurants, and architecture are right outside, which is either the point or a very good problem to have. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
