You enter through the delivery door of a butcher shop, which sets the tone perfectly for what follows. Varemottaket is a narrow, high-stooled tasting menu restaurant tucked behind Annis Pølsemakeri, and the dry-aged meats from next door find their way onto the plates, kissed by charcoal. The music runs loud, the team runs friendly, and the whole thing feels like a dinner party someone forgot to make pretentious.
