Yamada
Kaiseki Japanese
An L-shaped counter for a handful of diners, a dry garden visible through the window, and ikebana completing the pale, earthy room: kaiseki at this scale is intimate by design. Chef Isao Yamada runs a tasting menu that moves through the classical sequence of courses while leaning into local sourcing, Nantucket corn and Catskills mushrooms folded into the rice course. One Michelin star, and the New York Times placed it second on their 100 Best Restaurants list for 2026.
