Sisters has exactly one place on the list so far: The Suttle Lodge & Boathouse, honored by the Michelin Guide.
-
Suttle Lake sits in Deschutes National Forest, and this lakeside lodge from the team behind Ace Hotel Portland uses that setting as a reason to try harder, not coast on it. The design, food, and drinks feel more like a considered Portland project than a rustic forest retreat, which makes the surrounding pines and water feel like a bonus rather than the whole plan. The Michelin Guide has it among its selected hotels.
