Antique Javanese houses lifted whole from Java and reassembled on a Balinese hillside is a fairly audacious opening move for a boutique eco-resort, but Bambu Indah keeps going. Rooms range from treetop tents to the Copper House, open on one side to the jungle canopy below. The whole property climbs a riverside hillside above Ubud, and the restaurant's communal tables serve farm-to-table Balinese cooking to guests who've already surrendered to the concept.
