    The grand dame of Sevilla hotels sits near the cathedral in a palace built for a king, literally, with Moorish tilework, chandeliers, marble floors, and mahogany enough to make you feel underdressed in the lobby. The inner courtyard is where Restaurante San Fernando serves Spanish classics under arched windows, while Bar Americano handles cocktail hour in Art Deco style. The whole place has the uncanny quality of a city that peaked glamorously and never entirely came back down.
