A 28-seat restaurant tucked into a ranch-style house in San Francisco, where nearly everything on the plate was grown somewhere nearby, and some of it on-site. The chef built Intimo around a tight loop between the land and the kitchen, which gives the regional Panamanian cooking a specificity that's hard to fake. It seats about the number of people you'd invite to a dinner party, and that's more or less what it feels like.
