The signature mushroom dish has been on the menu since the place opened, which tells you something about how the East Village regulars feel about it. Nudibranch is a contemporary restaurant where Asian and Spanish influences keep bumping into each other in ways that somehow work, portions run small, and everyone ends up eating off everyone else's plate anyway. The masala chai tres leches lands as a genuinely disorienting closer, in a good way.
