Ogimachi Udon-ya Asuroh
Noodles
A udon shop near Tenjinbashi-suji, Kansai's longest shopping street, where the queue outside competes with the noodles for local renown. The broth is a clear seafood style, clean enough that the springiness of the noodles actually registers as a selling point. Go simple with the cold Hiyakake, or pile on tempura and a soft-boiled egg if you're in that mood. The Michelin Guide awards it a Bib Gourmand, which tracks.
