    A blue and white tile mural by the late Eduardo Nery fills the lobby of this boutique luxury hotel on Baixa's liveliest street, right beside the triumphal arch opening onto Praça do Comércio. The building is Pombaline, so suites are compact but light-filled, with pale wood, a botanical green palette, and original soundproofed windows. Corner rooms get views on two sides; top-floor suites, under mansard vaults, look straight at São Jorge Castle.
