The canary-yellow facade on Praça do Comércio is hard to miss, and the interior of this boutique hotel makes the exterior look restrained. Architect Jaime Morais gave the 18th-century building, once Portugal's Interior Ministry, a lobby anchored by statement furniture and a bold staircase. Rooms run toward polished hardwood and marble, and the square outside means the whole of Lisbon's waterfront is essentially your front step.
