A small Left Bank hotel where the 22 rooms are named after literary figures, from Balzac on down, and the wood-beamed ceilings and boldly patterned wallpapers make the whole thing feel less like hospitality and more like borrowing a well-read Parisian's apartment. The real perk is priority access to Le Comptoir downstairs, a bistro with queues that answer their own question. Carrefour de l'Odéon hums just outside.
