    A former maternity hospital and a Jean Nouvel tower wrapped in 250 trees form the bones of this luxury hotel in Bela Vista, and the 450 site-specific works by Brazilian artists mean every corridor argues with the last. Philippe Starck handled the interiors, and the rooftop pool and jazz bar have become destinations on their own. It landed at number 24 on the World's 50 Best Hotels list.
