Spice Brothers
Middle Eastern
A shawarma stall on St. Marks Place so cheerfully cramped it barely counts as a room, run by two friends who once cooked for Daniel Boulud and apparently never got spices out of their system. The vertical spit is the anchor, but everything on the menu, labneh, falafel, harissa, gets the same obsessive seasoning treatment: cumin, cinnamon, dill, and a few turns you won't see coming. Named one of New York's best new restaurants of 2024 by the Times.

Shawarma
“Shawarma may seem like an unlikely choice for two classically trained chefs, especially in a city that already has a full variety of revolving meat towers.”
