Tanpopo
Japanese
Tanpopo runs two kinds of metal on purpose: iron for aroma, copper for subtlety, and the chef matches the plate to whatever's on it. It's a teppanyaki and okonomiyaki spot on the sixth floor in Sonezakishinchi, earning a Michelin Bib Gourmand for food that ranges from classic okonomiyaki to tonpeiyaki, a pork-and-vegetable stir-fry folded into an omelette. The fish cakes, kneaded with seasonal ingredients, change with the calendar.
