The best pizza in Charleston SC, according to the experts: AAA, Michelin Guide, and The Infatuation have all weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. The Obstinate Daughter comes out on top, and the good stuff runs deepest in Charleston and North Charleston.
More Less
EVO Pizzeria and Indaco hold the next two places. AAA and Condé Nast Traveler show up on more of this list than any other guide.

Rank 1. The Obstinate Daughter
Coastal Pizzeria
A wood-fired pizza and pasta spot a couple of blocks from the Sullivan's Island beach, up on a second floor where the pale blue seating and bleached wood manage to feel coastal without a single pelican painting in sight. The kitchen pulls from Italian, French, and Spanish influences alongside Lowcountry ones, and the vegetables from local farms make the salads genuinely competitive with the pizza. The chef earned a James Beard semifinalist nod in 2024.

Rank 3. Indaco
Pizzeria
The wooden door on King Street opens into a narrow, warm room that's been packed most nights for as long as anyone can remember. Indaco is a wood-fired pizza and pasta spot where the wine list leans affordable Italian and people tend to order a second bottle before they've finished the first. The leopard-spotted crust on the nduja pizza is the obvious draw, but the seasonal pasta earns its place on the table too.

Rank 3. Tutti Pizza
Pizzeria
Patrons congregate at the pick-up window before they've even made it through the door, which tells you most of what you need to know. Tutti is a neighborhood pizza shop with a 30-seat room of butcher block, steel ovens, and dough being stretched in plain sight, all of it smelling powerfully of garlic. The menu splits into square pies, round pies, and desserts, and the wine program leans on the bar next door.
