The corner space in Eixample has been a bar for longer than anyone can remember, and Soma slipped into it without disturbing the bones. It's a Catalan tapas spot with a strong Italian lean and a Parisian-style terrace, where the kitchen turns out things like risotto cooked until it gets the crispy bottom of a paella. The crowd that fills it skews local and opinionated, which in Barcelona means you're probably doing something right.
