The best places to eat and stay in Mount Pleasant, according to the experts: the Michelin Guide, the James Beard Awards, and AAA have all weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. Post House comes out on top.
More Less
Community Table and NICO Oysters + Seafood hold the next two places. AAA shows up on more of this list than any other guide, with the James Beard Awards next.
-
A preserved 19th-century house in Mount Pleasant, just across the bridge from Charleston, that was quietly converted into a boutique inn with a restaurant at its core. The room count stays small, the rooms themselves are beautifully put together, and the whole thing leans into Lowcountry charm without drowning in it, which is harder than it sounds. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.

Italian
The pizza dough ferments for 48 hours before it ever sees a oven, which tells you where this Italian restaurant's priorities lie. Tucked into a shopping center in Mount Pleasant, Savi runs lunch casual, sandwiches and salads and those pizzas, then shifts gears at dinner into pastas, steaks, and seafood. The wine list is the other serious thing here, and happy hour gives you a reasonable excuse to find out.
