Point Reyes sits less than two hours from San Francisco but feels like a genuinely different world, which is the whole point of staying here. Olema House is a small 24-room lodge on the coastal highway, freshly renovated and one of very few places to sleep in the area. Marin County keeps tourist infrastructure deliberately sparse, so a comfortable base this close to the wild headlands and seascapes of Point Reyes fills a real gap.
