The carved wooden display cases and Art Nouveau bones give this grand Lisbon patisserie the feel of a Parisian café that decided to stay. It has been around forever, and the croquettes and pastry counter, heavy with cakes, meringues, and traditional Portuguese sweets, have outlasted most of what surrounds them.
