The best places to eat in Makawao, according to the experts: The Infatuation, Eater, and James Beard Awards have all weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. Marlow comes out on top.

Rank 1. Marlow
Pizzeria
A one-room pizza kitchen tucked into Upcountry Maui where the chef mills his own flour and buys whole animals from a local farm before breaking them down for the toppings. The pies lean wood-fired and seasonal, with whatever Kula farms are offering that week doing most of the heavy lifting. House-made gelato closes the meal quietly but memorably. A James Beard semifinalist, which makes a lot of sense once you smell the oven from the parking lot.
