  4. Kok Sen is a no-frills zi char spot on Keong Saik Road, which has since filled up with boutique hotels and cocktail bars that probably don't know it was here first. It's wok-fried Cantonese home cooking, ordered fast and eaten faster, and the Bib Gourmand has not shortened the wait. Put your name down, then spend the half hour studying how efficiently the staff ignore you. Bring cash-register patience and an appetite for gravy.

  5. Kotuwa is a casual Sri Lankan restaurant in New Bahru's old school block, and it's the first on the island to cook only the food of Sri Lanka, curries mostly. Seventies records play while servers set your spice level, so nobody leaves with steam coming out of their ears. Hoppers, the thin fermented rice pancakes, handle the gravy better than rice does. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, which keeps the bill friendly.

    Cocktail Bar

The wraparound windows frame Marina Bay well enough to make you feel like the city is performing for you. MO Bar is a hotel cocktail bar inside the Mandarin Oriental that takes its cues from Asia's ports and the Pacific, with drinks named for the stories that built Singapore. The Miss Samsui, a tribute to the immigrant women who helped construct the city, arrives with Lapsang tea and shochu, which is a more interesting history lesson than most.

  24. A cocktail bar inside the Ritz-Carlton that commits to a 1960s aesthetic without apology, all velvet and low light and the general suggestion that someone nearby is plotting a merger. The drinks lean into the theme with more discipline than you'd expect, pulling from art, cinema, and music for their references. Glitter shows up in at least one glass, which is either a dealbreaker or the whole point.

  36. The coffee shop chairs don't leave at 4pm; the bartenders just arrive. Stay Gold Flamingo splits its Amoy Street shophouse between a daytime cafe and an evening cocktail bar, and the two halves share almost nothing except the address. Come nightfall, the team behind Jigger & Pony and Employees Only Singapore are mixing drinks for a crowd that clearly got the memo about happy hour.

  40. Rank 60. The Elephant Room

    Cocktail Bar

A cocktail bar in Chinatown that treats Little India as its pantry, sourcing everything from nearby Tekka Market and turning the haul into distillates, ferments, and jellies that line the shelves like a apothecary's fever dream. The room itself goes full commitment: wood, gold, and vermillion, so the vibe lands before the drinks do. It earned a spot on The 50 Discovery list, which tends to find places like this before everyone else does.

  56. Rank 156. Caffe Fernet

    Italian Cocktail Bar

Vaulted ceilings and arched ironwork give this waterfront Italian cocktail bar the mood of a golden-age European train station, which feels about right for a spot gazing straight at Marina Bay Sands. The team behind Jigger and Pony runs an all-day operation, so the aperitivo hour bleeds comfortably into however long you planned to stay. The open-air tables out front make daytime drinking feel almost virtuous.

  57. Rank 156. Gibson Bar

    Cocktail Bar

The house Gibson arrives with a smoked quail's egg, pickled onion, and housemade nukazuke, which tells you everything about the ambition level here. This cocktail bar on Bukit Pasoh Road leans into Asian inflections on the classics, pairing Roku Gin with a homemade Ginjo sake-vermouth. The mood is relaxed without being casual, and the food menu runs surprisingly seafood-heavy for a drinks-first room.

  58. Rank 156. Live Twice

    Japanese Cocktail Bar

Mid-century Japanese design, neutral tones, and cocktails that lean toward the delicate end of the spectrum: Live Twice is a cocktail bar on Bukit Pasoh that draws a direct line from Singapore to Ginza. It's a sibling to Jigger & Pony, and the drinks share that same considered approach, built around sherry, shochu, and quiet precision rather than anything showy. Happy hour runs six to seven daily, if you'd like a reason to arrive early.

  60. Rank 162. Anti:dote

    Cocktail Bar

The cocktail menu at this sleek Fairmont hotel bar is organized by mood rather than spirit, which sounds like a wellness gimmick until you're actually choosing between Confident, Indulge, and Reset at ten on a Friday. The drinks are genuinely considered, leaning into fermented ingredients and unexpected pairings. A five-star bar could coast on atmosphere alone; this one seems unwilling to.

  61. Rank 162. ANTO

    Neapolitan Pizzeria

A Neapolitan-style pizza bar in the Jiak Chuan Road dining strip, where the dough is long-fermented, the crust rises high, and the aperitivo list is taken as seriously as the pies. Negronis and Americanos anchor the drinks, and the room, dark-toned and minimal, fills quickly with people who know to book ahead. It ranks on the 50 Top Pizza World list, with a 2025 One to Watch special award to go with it.

  62. Rank 162. Ce La Vi

    Cocktail Bar

Fifty-seven floors above Singapore, the SkyBar canopy flaps gently while the city sprawls out beneath your drink. Ce La Vi is a rooftop cocktail bar perched atop Marina Bay Sands, with al fresco and indoor spaces that each frame the skyline differently. The cocktail list leans inventive, truffle oil showing up alongside single malt and Campari without anyone treating that as unusual. A Discovery listing from The 50 keeps it on the circuit.

  64. Cantonese fine dining inside the Crystal Jade group, which spans much of Asia, but this Orchard Road outpost is the only one in the family holding a Michelin star. The room draws local families who clearly never need the menu, and the kitchen splits its attention between contemporary Cantonese and Teochew cooking, a combination rare enough that it doubles as a reason to visit on its own.

  65. Rank 162. Esora

    Modern Japanese

A monaka built around foie gras torchon instead of sweet bean paste signals the kind of modern Japanese cooking Esora is after. This intimate 26-seat kappo restaurant works in micro-seasons, and the chef's time at Odette and Nihonryori RyuGin shows in the precision. A tea-pairing program served in champagne flutes adds an unexpected, slightly theatrical grace note to the meal.

  66. Rank 162. Le Bon Funk

    Wine Bar

Terrazzo floors, brass fittings, and rattan chairs give this natural wine bar on Club Street an aesthetic that can't quite decide what decade it wants, which turns out to be part of the charm. Le Bon Funk pours a tightly rotated list of natural wines alongside sharing plates that sit somewhere between casual and considered. The kind of spot where no one opens the menu before ordering a second glass.

  68. Rank 162. One Ninety

    Cocktail Bar

Sunlight pours through floor-to-ceiling windows at this cocktail bar inside the Four Seasons, where the botanical theme isn't just decor, it runs through the menu. Drinks pull from fresh market produce with plant-based and wellness-leaning options alongside the classics, and the Kitchen Garden cocktail mixes aquavit with tomato, mushroom, and celery in a way that sounds like a salad but drinks like a dare.

  69. Rank 162. RPM by D.Bespoke

    Japanese Cocktail Bar

Vintage vinyl lines the floor-to-ceiling shelves at this Duxton Road bar from the team behind the Ginza-style speakeasy D.Bespoke. The specialty is Japanese shochu, served across an extensive range that shows how varied the spirit can be, which puts it ahead of most bars in Singapore for anyone curious about it. Guest DJs work the actual records regularly, so the collection is more than decoration.

  71. Rank 162. The Bar Kakure

    Japanese Cocktail Bar

Sit above a sushi restaurant, enter with a code, and you're in a Japanese-style cocktail bar where exposed wood and wraparound windows look out over the treetops. The drinks lean into infused spirits, with gummy bear vodka and wasabi gin among the house ingredients. Reservations are mandatory, which the door code enforces rather literally. A spot on The 50 Discovery list.

  72. Every cocktail on the menu is named for a literary figure who passed through Raffles, so you'll order something attributed to Conrad or Kipling and feel faintly erudite about it. This is a boutique hotel cocktail bar, quieter and more intimate than the famous Long Bar down the hall, with a tightly curated list built around that conceit. It's the kind of place where the theme actually shapes the drinks rather than just naming them.

  84. Rank 175. ATLAS

    Art Deco Cocktail Bar

The three-storey back bar tower holds over 1,100 gins, which tells you everything about the ambition here before you've even sat down. Atlas is a cocktail bar inside Singapore's art deco "Gotham City" office building, all brass and velvet and soaring ceilings that make you feel like a minor character in a 1920s heist film. The kind of place where you order carefully and dress accordingly.

The flavors marry Southeast Asian ingredients to familiar ones, so lemongrass Earl Grey and caramel pandan sit beside raspberry lychee. Expect a line of locals and tourists, all sweating politely, since Singapore's humidity makes a scoop feel like infrastructure.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. The places are 60% of it: the best of what's within reach, weighed by distance. The setting is the other 40%: how life goes in that country (how people rate their own lives, how long and how well they live, how safe they are) and what it's like right there (the air, and the weather). If the score looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
