  1. Rank 89. Phở Kim Long

    Vietnamese

A casual Vietnamese noodle shop on Spring Mountain Road that does its best work after the casinos have taken everything you brought. At 3am the room splits between people refusing to end the night and industry workers who just ended theirs. The spicy beef phở comes with a plate of jalapeños and limes, and the steam off the bowl is thick enough to cloud your glasses, which at that hour is a mercy.

  2. Starboard Tack is a diner-meets-tiki-bar a short drive off the Strip, where patterned booth fabric your grandmother would approve of sits beneath a stained-glass underwater scene. The rum list is one of the bigger ones in town, the menu leans Filipino and Korean, and an indie or punk show may be winding down while you finish your kimchi fried rice. Eater and The Infatuation both list it among Vegas's best late-night spots.

  3. This is a classic Vegas buffet, the kind with marble counters, smoked salmon spirals, and enough seating for 600 hungry people who have pre-paid for their ambition. Expect a carving station, pizza with dough from a nearby Spago, and sushi, all at a price that makes a mid-priced casino steakhouse look reasonable. It's a morning-to-mid-afternoon affair, so dress for comfort and plan to skip dinner.

  4. A sports bar inside the Durango that never closes, which means the kitchen keeps its dinner and breakfast menus running side by side once the clock passes eleven. Grab a stool near the sportsbook or take the plant-filled patio, then order coffee and a beer in whichever sequence your night demands. Pancakes and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls share a table here without anyone raising an eyebrow, and brussels sprouts at 2am are a real option.

  5. This is the buffet at The Cosmopolitan, and its whole personality is built around the morning after. Waffles, crunchy fried chicken, and crab legs juicy enough to turn the plate into a splash zone all appear, along with a salad bar that holds its own. Plenty of dishes come pre-portioned in little bowls, which spares shaky hands the humiliation of a slippery serving spoon. Come hungry, come dehydrated, and don't dress up.

  6. Rank 107. DE Thai Kitchen

    Southern Thai

This is a Thai street food counter in the Arts District, run out of a kitchen roughly the size of a walk-in closet, which explains why most people take it to go. The pad see ew runs about fifteen dollars and arrives with thick, chewy noodles, broccoli, and shredded chicken. The neighbors have bigger dining rooms and louder reputations, and this place seems fine with that. Order the Thai iced tea, then decide how disciplined you feel about the mango sticky rice.

  7. Market Street Cafe is a big, cheap Hawaiian-leaning diner tucked inside the California Hotel, which makes it the logical landing spot for any group whose Vegas plans collapsed by noon. The menu runs on a clock: prime rib specials show up in the late afternoon, and the oxtail soup waits until after 11pm, a schedule that suits people with nowhere else to be. Wear whatever you slept in.

  10. Rank 110. Red Plate

    Cantonese

Red Plate is a Cantonese fine-dining room tucked away at the Cosmopolitan, small enough and quiet enough that you forget you're a few floors above a casino. Tea-based cocktails share the menu with evening dim sum and roast meats, and a whole suckling pig or duck can be ordered ahead if you're organized or celebrating. The chef was a James Beard semifinalist for Best Chef: Southwest.

  11. José Andrés brought his Spanish tapas restaurant to the third floor of the Cosmopolitan, and the room has the kind of energy that makes you order more than you planned. The menu leans modern, built around small plates, and the kitchen flies ingredients in from Spain to back up the claim. Jamón Ibérico, gambas al ajillo, croquetas, pan de cristal con tomate: the classics are all here, done without apology.

  12. This is a counter-service Hawaiian and Filipino spot in a Las Vegas strip-mall unit, decorated like a beach cottage that has never heard of the Strip, complete with an island mural and a "let your dreams set sail" sign. The cashier calls everyone sweetheart. Plates run big enough to split, and the Spam musubi travels well, which is useful if you're headed somewhere with a bar and a dim view of outside food.

  13. Park on Fremont is a gastropub just off the neon chaos of the Fremont Street Experience, serving burgers, wings, and chicken sandwiches with a cold local draft. The back patio is packed with cacti and shrubs in colorful pots, guarded by garden gnomes, and on weekends a DJ turns brunch into a small garden party. A breakfast shot of Jameson and bacon is available all day, for those committed to the bit.

  18. Farm-to-table inside the Bellagio, with the kitchen glassed in so you can watch the cooks while the casino hum fades behind you. It's a sit-down American dinner spot, more relaxed than the resort's splashier restaurants, with a sommelier on the floor and vegan and tasting menus available for those whose dining companions make things complicated. The room earns its calm without trying too hard.

  28. Echo is a listening lounge in the Arts District where the vintage McIntosh sound system is treated like the guest of honor and the room is arranged around it, living-room style. Wednesdays bring soft jazz or lively blues, and other nights a resident DJ spins classic rock or hip-hop. Cauliflower ceviche tostadas and a mound of papas bravas buried under grated cheese keep everyone busy between songs. Nobody here is trying to shout over anything.

  30. Rank 136. Amador Cocina Fina

    Latin American

Amador is a Spanish-leaning dinner spot in a Chinatown strip mall where parking is more of a rumor than a policy. Every table gets five house salsas with tiny spoons and droppers, so you'll be dosing your own food like a very delicious science project. You can graze through margaritas and croquetas before karaoke next door, or commit to the tasting menu. It's been on The Infatuation's list of the 25 best restaurants in Las Vegas.

  31. Rank 136. Chatime

    Taiwanese

Taiwanese bubble tea chain Chatime lets you build your drink from the ground up, dialing in sweetness level, swapping to dairy-free, and piling on popping pearls or lychee jelly until it's exactly your problem. The UNLV-adjacent shop pours milk teas, fruit teas, and brown sugar pearl drinks to a crowd that has strong opinions about boba. A second location in the Arts District is already in the works.

  32. Rank 136. Cobra Clutch

    Japanese

A 24-seat Japanese listening den in the Arts District where the only soundtrack is vinyl and the TVs run anime on loop. Ring the buzzer, join the wait list, and eventually find yourself inside walls plastered with Japanese posters while the cocktail program works through whisky, sake, tequila, and shochu. From the team behind Nocturno, it drinks like a speakeasy that got very specific taste very fast.

  33. A 3,400-square-foot shrine to Sanrio characters in the Forum Shops, where illuminated pink facades and neon signage set the tone before you've ordered anything. The cafe runs taiyaki filled with ube, strawberry-mochi soft serve, and character-coded pastries, plus an afternoon tea service the Vegas location holds as an exclusive. The crowd skews enthusiastic in ways that are hard to overstate.

  34. The Strip's most surreal fast-food experience: an In-N-Out Burger on a rooftop terrace three stories above Las Vegas Boulevard, with no drive-thru in sight. Same Double-Doubles, same divisive fries, same prices as every other location, just with a view that most chains can't manage. The company store inside sells branded gear for anyone who needs a hat to remember the occasion.

  35. Rank 136. Meril

    Cajun & Creole

  36. A fast-casual slice shop where the menu changes on a whim and a world pizza champion gets to stop being responsible. John Arena, who runs the more traditional Metro Pizza locations around town, opened this spot at the Bend to experiment: Sicilian slices piled with meatballs and ricotta, Grandma-style chicken pesto squares, even a macaroni and cheese slice if you're committed to the bit. Whole pies, calzones, and gelato round things out.

  38. A Southern California pastrami institution, been around forever, finally opened its first outpost outside the state on Rainbow Boulevard, drive-thru included. The move took six years from announcement to first sandwich, which is either very Vegas or very deli. Pastrami dips are the draw, though the pastrami chili cheese fries have their own following. A casual counter spot where nobody is pretending it's anything other than a great pastrami sandwich.

  39. The mesquite grill and blue corn tortillas are the whole thesis here. This LA taco stand made a splashy Vegas debut after its owner shared a Super Bowl halftime stage with Bad Bunny, which is one way to announce yourself. Chicken thighs, skirt steak, marinated pork, and house chorizo are the proteins, with vegan options alongside. It's a counter spot inside a casino food hall, so dress accordingly and keep expectations pleasantly low on the ambiance front.

  40. The glossy-skinned Peking duck arrives whole, gets carved tableside, and sets the tone for everything else at this Chinese restaurant tucked into Tivoli Village. Dim sum, wok-fired beef, chile-oil fish, and silky noodles follow in a dining room that leans unapologetically palatial. The kind of place where the weekend crowd shows up with a plan and still ends up ordering more than expected.

  46. Rank 147. Maroon

    Caribbean

Maroon is a sleek, clubby Afro-Caribbean restaurant at the Sahara, built around a custom jerk pit you can smell before you find your table. The hip-hop runs loud enough that anything important should wait until dessert, if not the car. Expect jerk chicken, braised oxtail, and bachelorettes on their way to Magic Mike next door. Book about a month ahead, or call in a favor.

  51. Wood-paneled walls, low ceilings, and stacks of empty beer cans that the owners drank themselves make this Gateway District beer bar feel like a 1970s Midwest den that somehow got transplanted to Las Vegas. The rotating draft list is the point, and bartenders will steer you through it without making you feel like a student. The Underberg shot at the end is apparently non-negotiable. Wildsam named it one of the 50 most essential bars in America.

  52. Rank 164. Ai Pono Cafe

    Hawaiian

  53. Rank 164. Braseria By EDO

    Spanish-French

This Spanish restaurant off Paradise Road gets some of its French cooking from a former Joël Robuchon chef, so the potato purée arrives buttery and the croquetas arrive dressed as croque monsieur. The dining room has crystal chandeliers and high ceilings, dressy enough for a business dinner, though a Domino's downstairs keeps anyone from getting too precious. Chartreuse is on draft, which is how the night usually ends.

  55. Rank 164. HaSalon

    Israeli

The menu at this Israeli fine dining room lists a dish as "Horrible Hammer smashing herbs and flowers on meat," which tells you everything you need to know about the energy here. Chef Eyal Shani's Las Vegas outpost pulls from Tel Aviv by way of Japanese and French technique, but the real point is that dinner turns into a dance party, and the tile-and-warm-wood room is built to look lived in just enough to make table-dancing feel earned.

  56. Hayworth is a Jewish steakhouse in Henderson, which means challah knots where the dinner rolls would be and whipped chicken schmaltz where the butter usually goes. It's dressed-up date-night territory, with plush booths, icy martinis, and well-dressed neighbors airing grievances about their cooling bills over latkes crowned with roe. The pastrami is finished with bone marrow jus, and the babka comes home with you.

  59. Sartiano's is a high-end Italian steakhouse on the Strip, with a patio that looks out over Wynn's private fairways and the Sphere glowing behind them. It sits next door to the celebrity-heavy members' club Zero Bond, and the room carries some of that hush. Expect an expense-account crowd, caviar cannoli to start, and meatballs that quietly steal the show from the steaks. It's polished without being stiff.

  60. La Neta is a sit-down Mexican restaurant in Downtown Summerlin that went heavy on the decor: velvet booths, stained glass murals, chandeliers, and enough foliage cascading from the ceiling to suggest the plants are also on the guest list. Expect margaritas and a menu that moves from oysters and ceviche to flautas. Weekend brunch comes with bottomless drinks, which pairs conveniently with the Saturday farmers market nearby.

  61. This is a concession stand parked outside the Absinthe circus tent, which sets the bar for fare somewhere around nachos in a plastic boat. Instead it sells a smash burger on a soft pretzel bun, with two beef patties, charred onions, and thick pickles, plus star-shaped tots. Order the caviar tots if you're feeling flush, or eat standing up among the hedges like a person who just wandered out of a show.

  64. Village Pub is the casual cafe tucked inside Ellis Island, just off the Strip, where the specials board does the heavy lifting. A half-pound cheeseburger with steak fries runs about seven dollars, and a 10-ounce sirloin dinner shows up after midnight if you ask for it by name. There's a brewery on-site, so the root beer arrives thick enough to count as dessert. Come as you are, and you'll fit right in.

  65. Anthony's is the M Resort steakhouse in Henderson, where the Sunday brunch buffet runs on a steakhouse budget and carries a price tag closer to a Strip dinner than a morning meal. The spread skips the usual sad chafing dishes for snow crab legs, beef Wellington, and prime rib. The patio looks out at the Strip from a safe distance, and reservations are limited, so book early.

  67. Rank 179. Blossom

    Traditional Beijing

Blossom is a Cantonese-leaning dinner room at the Cosmopolitan-adjacent end of the Strip, built around traditional Chinese design principles, which means mirrored leaf walls and chandeliers shaped like dew drops. The lighting is soft enough to forgive anything you do to your chopsticks. Expect a proper sit-down dinner with a tableside Beijing duck carving, so dress like someone who plans to be photographed near crystal.

  69. Bottled Blonde is a three-story rooftop bar and kitchen on the Strip, with more than 40 televisions and a view of the Bellagio fountains, so you can watch the game and the water at the same time. Weekend brunch runs 11 to 3, with bottomless mimosas, spicy bloody marys, and fried chicken and waffles for the hours when a salad would be a bold choice. Eater has it on its list of Las Vegas brunches.

  70. Bronze Cafe is a casual northwest Las Vegas sandwich counter in a suite off Buffalo Drive, where the menu splits itself almost evenly between meat and vegetarian. The signature order is a towering stack of bacon, bacon jam, turkey and avocado on toasted ciabatta, and the vegan version is a near-twin with coconut bacon jam and Tofurky. Eater has put it on its list of the best Vegas sandwiches, and the whole thing runs counter-service casual.

  71. Casa Di Amore is a red-sauce Italian restaurant that also happens to be a tiki bar, a pairing that sounds like a dare and somehow holds together. The room glows red, with stained glass chandeliers shaped like rings of parrots, and the garlic bread comes buried in melted mozzarella. The chicken parm is plate-sized, and in summer there's an outdoor tiki bar out back for frozen piña coladas.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. The places are 60% of it: the best of what's within reach, weighed by distance. The setting is the other 40%: how life goes in that country (how people rate their own lives, how long and how well they live, how safe they are) and what it's like right there (the air, and the weather). If the score looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
