Sichuan Noodle Shop
A four-room garden villa on a quiet leafy street, with just 18 covers and no menu to choose from. This intimate fine dining restaurant serves set menus built around chef Lan Guijun's signature Sichuan cooking, where a dish like hand-pulled Golden Thread Noodles arrives as something closer to a statement than a snack. Anthony Bourdain made it one of his first stops in Chengdu, which tells you roughly what kind of place this is.
