The best wine bars in Ireland, according to the experts: the Michelin Guide and Eater have both weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. Daróg Wine Bar comes out on top, and the good stuff runs deepest in Dublin and Cork.
More Less
Ichigo Ichie Bistro and Natural Wine and Loose Canon Cheese and Wine hold the next two places. Eater and the Michelin Guide show up on more of this list than any other guide.

Rank 1. Daróg Wine Bar
Wine Bar
A small, warmly lit wine bar on Dominick Street where the list leans hard into small artisan producers working organically and biodynamically. The co-owner's enthusiasm for natural wine is the kind that makes you ask questions and leave with a bottle you'd never have chosen yourself. Sharing plates are tight and well-executed. Local artwork lines the walls and rotates regularly, all of it for sale. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Rank 1. Ichigo Ichie Bistro and Natural Wine
Japanese Wine Bar
A mirror-glazed facade that gives nothing away, and inside, a Japanese wine bar humming with the kind of noise that means people are having a good time. The menu leans unfussy, the produce is careful, and the natural wine list is sourced with the same attention. The matcha panna cotta with lychee ice cream has a fan club. Michelin gave it a Bib Gourmand, which tracks. The service runs warm and smooth without making a fuss about it.

Rank 3. Loose Canon Cheese and Wine
Wine Bar
A narrow wine bar on Drury Street where the shelves are stacked with bottles from small natural producers and the daytime menu runs a cheese toastie that has no business being as good as it is. After half five it's charcuterie and cheese plates only, which is a perfectly reasonable consolation. The by-the-glass list changes often enough that regulars rarely order the same thing twice.
