The best pan-Asian food in Paris, according to the experts: Michelin Guide, Le Fooding, and The 50 have all weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. Ze Kitchen Galerie comes out on top.

More Less

Brigade du Tigre and Oktobre hold the next two places. Michelin Guide shows up on more of this list than any other guide, with Le Fooding next.

  1. A windowed kitchen lets you watch the team work, which sets the tone: this is a Michelin-starred restaurant where the cooking is the show. William Ledeuil built his reputation weaving Southeast Asian roots and spices into classic French technique, and the room around it matches that mix, designer furniture sharing space with colorful paintings. Lunch draws the savvier crowd for the same kitchen at a notably gentler price.

  2. The black sesame onigiri stuffed with aged comté is a reasonable summary of what this two-floor Asian bistro is doing in the 10th. The team behind Eels, both trained with William Ledeuil and clearly serious about the continent, turn out fragrant small plates that wander cheerfully across Asia without stopping to explain themselves. A Michelin Bib Gourmand, and the kind of place that makes the neighborhood feel quietly smug.

  3. Rank 3. Oktobre

    Creative Pan-Asian

A creative restaurant on the Left Bank street where philosophers once argued, Oktobre brings a similar restlessness to the plate. The chef sources obsessively and cooks with a loose, confident hand, pulling in Asian spices and fermented flavors alongside French technique. Cuttlefish pasta, miso beurre blanc, sweetcorn curry: the combinations sound unlikely until they don't. The room is warm and the mood runs lively.

  4. Rank 4. Soé

    Pan-Asian

A narrow former bistro on rue Beautreillis where the set menu reads as a love letter to Asia written entirely in French ingredients. The chef spent serious time on the continent and brings that back through condiments, sauces, and spices that fold quietly into fish-market catches and free-range poultry. Korean ssamjang turns up on Basque pork and somehow feels inevitable. The room is charming in the way that matches the cooking: considered, warm, and not trying too hard.

Eat Score

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

      Stay Score

Four fifths of the score is the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin Key outweighs a listicle. The last fifth is where it is: the ranked places to eat and things to do around it, and how safe the country is. When you sort by what's nearby, distance from you changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. The places are 60% of it: the best of what's within reach, weighed by distance. The setting is the other 40%: how life goes in that country (how people rate their own lives, how long and how well they live, how safe they are) and what it's like right there (the air, and the weather). If the score looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
