Rank 106. Clyde Common
Cocktail Bar
The zinc-topped bar inside the Ace Hotel is where Jeffrey Morgenthaler built his reputation, and Portland's cocktail crowd hasn't forgotten it. Clyde Common is technically a big, open dining hall, but the bar runs the show here, with vintage stools filling up fast under a double-height ceiling loud with conversation. The food is genuinely good, but nobody's coming just for dinner.

Rank 106. Grana
Neapolitan Pizzeria
The open oven sits at the center of the room like a piece of furniture someone actually thought about, which tells you a lot about Grana before the pizza arrives. This is a contemporary Neapolitan pizza restaurant on East Burnside, bright and carefully put together without feeling precious. The dough runs high-hydration and long-fermented, San Marzano tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella alongside whatever's local. It landed at 26 on 50 Top Pizza USA.

Neapolitan Pizzeria
A pizza shop in Beaverton where the dough is made with a biga starter, splitting the difference between Neapolitan softness and New York chew, then topped with flavors drawn from Asian pantries. The combination landed Hapa on the 50 Top Pizza USA list. The room is warm and the kitchen moves fast, which matters when half of Beaverton decides to show up at once. Original without being weird about it.

Javelina is a casual counter-style spot in Northeast Portland where frybread does the heavy lifting, as tacos with bison chili, as the bun on the powwow burger, or tossed in cinnamon sugar. The chef is quick to point out that wheat isn't native here, so the rest of the menu sticks to First Foods like elk, wild rice, and blue corn. Eater lists it among Portland's best, and Esquire counted it among 2025's best new restaurants in America.

Rank 106. OK Chicken and Khao Soi
Northern Thai
Slushy machines churn Technicolor drinks behind the bar, which sets the tone for this Northern Thai restaurant occupying the storied space where Pok Pok once stood. Earl Ninsom runs the room and the kitchen turns out gai yang chicken with a chargrilled, fish-sauce funk and a khao soi that makes you keep reaching for the bowl. It landed on the New York Times Restaurant List in 2026.

Italian
A long sloping entry leads you up into a warm, modern room where communal high tables split the space between a serious bar and proper wood-fired pizza. Ryan Magarian's cocktail program is the draw here, pairing classics and house originals with Italian street food from the kitchen. The design reads clean rather than cozy, which suits the crowd that comes as much for the drinks as anything coming out of that oven.

Guyanese Caribbean
A mother-and-son food cart in a Milwaukie food park, turning out Guyanese cooking that's rare in Portland and rarer nationally. The namesake bakes are fluffy, slightly sweet fried-dough pockets stuffed with anything from salt cod to Nutella, so lunch and dessert can share a single pastry. Curry and chow mein reflect Guyana's Indian and Chinese roots. It's cart-priced, with covered seating nearby, and Eater has put it on its list of the best in town.

Italian Wine Bar
Bar Diane is a wine bar in Northwest Portland where the hand-painted walls look like the rings left behind by a thousand glasses of rosé on a tablecloth. You can perch at the marble bar and get into the weeds on Oregon pinot, or grab a bistro table for a cocktail and a lobster roll. Pours run from affordable table wine to splurgy champagne, so nobody has to pretend to be a sommelier or a billionaire.

This Lents noodle shop is named after its one big move, the spicy beef soup from central Vietnam, and it sees no reason to hedge. The broth runs meaty, shrimpy, and lemongrass-bright, with collagen-heavy cuts, pork blood cubes, and thick, slippery noodles. A plate of banana blossom, basil, mint, and lime arrives for you to dump in. Eater's list of Portland's best restaurants and food carts includes it. Dine in or call ahead.

Dots Cafe is a neighborhood dive on Clinton Street where the vinyl booths, flocked wallpaper, and velvet portraits seem to have been told it's still around 2010, and nobody's corrected them. You order at the bar, which leaves time to study a menu of cheesy fries and vegan burgers. Cocktails are on offer, but a shot and a local beer fits the room. G-Love is a Northwest 21st Avenue restaurant that Portland Monthly calls the city's most Californian, which is a dry way of saying the vibe arrived from San Francisco and unpacked. It's a sit-down dinner with a little coastal swagger, and it landed on the magazine's iconic dishes list and its 50 best.

Tiki Bar
A small bridge over a little moat takes you from a residential stretch of Northeast Broadway into what is, with commitment, a full tiki immersion. The rum-based cocktails are the actual point of the exercise, and nobody here seems to mind.

This is an English-style pub on Belmont, low-ceilinged and wood-beamed, with decades of cigarette smoke apparently still living in the walls. The beer comes in proper 20-ounce pints, there are real metal-tipped darts, and the Scotch eggs and fish and chips have outlasted every menu update. Regulars fill it by evening, and the vintage posters, flags, and brass plaques suggest nobody has felt the need to redecorate since the Reagan administration.

The choriqueso at this counter-service taqueria in Vancouver, WA has a way of making the rest of the menu feel like a warmup act. Italian
Servers in ties and vests refill your water after every sip, and warm focaccia arrives before you've fully settled in. Mucca Osteria is a downtown Italian restaurant operating on the old assumption that hospitality is the whole point, and the kitchen keeps pace: handmade pastas with a silky bite, burrata draped in long-aged prosciutto, scallops over Parmesan fonduta. A room that makes you slow down without making a fuss about it.

Rank 115. Puff Coffee
Coffee
A tiny black box of a coffee shop on SE Stark, Puff Coffee comes with a Stumptown pedigree and the occasional line of devoted early arrivals out front. The focus is single-origin beans, served as drip or a tight espresso, with the shop's clean, minimal interior quietly offset by an E.T. figurine nestled among vintage coffee makers. For the less orthodox, shroom lattes with lion's mane and chaga round things out.

The name lies a little: Teardrop is a square room with painted concrete walls, and the curve comes from the island bar itself, which bends the whole space into something warmer than the bones suggest. It's a serious cocktail lounge, the kind where the menu moves between classics, originals, and borrowed recipes from people who've thought hard about this stuff. Classic films flicker overhead, the lighting is kind, and a quiet Monday still feels like somewhere worth being.

A Foster-Powell coffee shop where the decor leans into geology: carnelian specimens line the shelves, roasts carry names like Thunderegg, and the view from the patio is a gravel yard across the street, which fits the theme better than intended.
