The best noodle shops in Germany, according to the experts: the Michelin Guide and Eater have both weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. CYN CYN comes out on top, and the good stuff runs deepest in Berlin and Hamburg.
More Less
Fukagawa Ramen XBerg and Momo Ramen hold the next two places. The Michelin Guide shows up on more of this list than any other guide, with Eater next.

Rank 1. CYN CYN
Shaanxi Noodle Shop
The bright red frontage on Eppendorfer Weg is hard to miss, and the wide Biang Biang noodles inside are harder to forget. This compact, lively noodle bar pulls its inspiration from China's Shaanxi province, where belt-wide hand-pulled noodles are the whole point. The two German-Vietnamese chefs make them fresh daily, dress them with house sauces, and keep the room young and loud. A Michelin Bib Gourmand, and priced like it means it.

Rank 2. YOSO Asian Comfort Food
Japanese Noodle Shop
Ramen, sushi, bao, and yakitori share the menu at this casual Asian comfort food spot tucked into the historic centre of Andernach. The chef behind the more formal PURS runs this one too, which says something about range. The room has a clean, urban feel with just enough Far Eastern detail to feel considered rather than generic. Everything is designed for sharing, and it's all available for takeaway if you'd rather eat it somewhere else entirely.

Rank 5. Wen Cheng Handpulled Noodles
Shaanxi Noodle Shop
Hand-pulled biang biang noodles in the Shaanxi style, wide as a belt and springy enough to make you think twice about every bowl of pasta you've ever eaten. This is a casual noodle shop, so expect a line, a short menu, and a very low bill. The vegan options hold their own alongside the beef. Berlin opened a third location partly so the city could stop queuing quite so dramatically for the first two.
