  2. A counter-service taqueria in Summerlin where the tacos run about four bucks and the line forms before anyone's decided what they want. Takeout is the realistic plan, though the tables have little cupholders that swing out from the corners, which feels like a lot of engineering for a michelada. The al pastor comes off the spit with pineapple, and the mushroom taco is for anyone who came with a skeptical friend.

  3. Rank 342. Tous les Jours Cafe

    French-influenced Korean Bakery

  4. The windows project a fake thunderstorm over the Eiffel Tower, which tells you everything about the vibe here. This French-ish cocktail lounge at Paris Las Vegas leans hard into gothic Baroque camp, all purple booths and tiered birdcages of figs and cheese, with lychee martinis keeping the Housewives faithful cheerful through the manufactured lightning. It's Lisa Vanderpump's name on the door, and no one inside is pretending otherwise.

  5. Rank 342. With Love, Always

    Smashed Onion American Burger Joint

With Love, Always is a retro diner off the Strip that started as a parking lot pop-up and now draws lines for smashed onion burgers with lacy, crispy edges, finished with a creamy sauce and shoestring fries. It's casual and loud in the good way, packed with families fresh from practice. The soft serve comes with a pickup ticket, so your custard arrives after the burger instead of as soup beforehand. It's on The Infatuation's list of the 25 best restaurants in Las Vegas.

  6. Rank 412. El Bagel

    Jewish Bagel Shop

El Bagel is a Miami bagel shop that opened a counter in the Fontainebleau food hall, which means your bacon, egg, and cheese now has a casino view. The line forms early with people who have clearly met the night before, and the pastrami gets smoked for 18 hours, a commitment most of us can't make to anything. It's a quick, casual stop, and a beautiful mess to eat. Eater has named it for both bagels and sandwiches.

  7. Rank 412. Tacos El Gordo

    Tijuana Taqueria

This is a Tijuana-style taqueria on Charleston with a drive-thru and a line that never seems to get the memo that it's a taco stand. Inside, each meat gets its own queue, so groups split up, order in parallel, and reunite holding paper plates like pallbearers. It runs until 2 a.m., prices stay in paper-plate territory, and the menu leans hard on beef and pork, so bring people who eat both.

  8. Rank 416. 888 Korean BBQ

  11. La Neta is a sit-down Mexican restaurant in Downtown Summerlin that went heavy on the decor: velvet booths, stained glass murals, chandeliers, and enough foliage cascading from the ceiling to suggest the plants are also on the guest list. Expect margaritas and a menu that moves from oysters and ceviche to flautas. Weekend brunch comes with bottomless drinks, which pairs conveniently with the Saturday farmers market nearby.

  12. This is a concession stand parked outside the Absinthe circus tent, which sets the bar for fare somewhere around nachos in a plastic boat. Instead it sells a smash burger on a soft pretzel bun, with two beef patties, charred onions, and thick pickles, plus star-shaped tots. Order the caviar tots if you're feeling flush, or eat standing up among the hedges like a person who just wandered out of a show.

  15. The awards

  16. Village Pub is the casual cafe tucked inside Ellis Island, just off the Strip, where the specials board does the heavy lifting. A half-pound cheeseburger with steak fries runs about seven dollars, and a 10-ounce sirloin dinner shows up after midnight if you ask for it by name. There's a brewery on-site, so the root beer arrives thick enough to count as dessert. Come as you are, and you'll fit right in.

  20. Rank 427. All’Antico Vinaio

    Florentine Deli

  21. Rank 427. Amore Taste of Chicago

    Chicago-style Pizzeria

Amore is a casual neighborhood pizzeria that brings Chicago to the desert, which is a long way to carry an opinion about crust. The tavern-style pies come out thin and cut in squares, and the deep-dish is there for the purists. Start with fried pickles or garlic bread, finish with mini cannoli, and eat the whole thing in a room that asks nothing of your wardrobe. Eater listed it among the best pizza in Las Vegas.

  22. Anthony's is the M Resort steakhouse in Henderson, where the Sunday brunch buffet runs on a steakhouse budget and carries a price tag closer to a Strip dinner than a morning meal. The spread skips the usual sad chafing dishes for snow crab legs, beef Wellington, and prime rib. The patio looks out at the Strip from a safe distance, and reservations are limited, so book early.

  26. Rank 427. Big B’s Texas BBQ

    Southern Barbecue

  27. Rank 427. Blossom

    Traditional Beijing

Blossom is a Cantonese-leaning dinner room at the Cosmopolitan-adjacent end of the Strip, built around traditional Chinese design principles, which means mirrored leaf walls and chandeliers shaped like dew drops. The lighting is soft enough to forgive anything you do to your chopsticks. Expect a proper sit-down dinner with a tableside Beijing duck carving, so dress like someone who plans to be photographed near crystal.

  29. Bottled Blonde is a three-story rooftop bar and kitchen on the Strip, with more than 40 televisions and a view of the Bellagio fountains, so you can watch the game and the water at the same time. Weekend brunch runs 11 to 3, with bottomless mimosas, spicy bloody marys, and fried chicken and waffles for the hours when a salad would be a bold choice. Eater has it on its list of Las Vegas brunches.

  30. Bronze Cafe is a casual northwest Las Vegas sandwich counter in a suite off Buffalo Drive, where the menu splits itself almost evenly between meat and vegetarian. The signature order is a towering stack of bacon, bacon jam, turkey and avocado on toasted ciabatta, and the vegan version is a near-twin with coconut bacon jam and Tofurky. Eater has put it on its list of the best Vegas sandwiches, and the whole thing runs counter-service casual.

  31. Rank 427. Butcher & Thief

    Steakhouse

Butcher & Thief is a steakhouse in a Sunset Road strip-mall suite, where the usual surf-and-turf script gets a few liberties. The chops are cut in-house, and the menu also runs to peanut-butter-crusted bacon, cheesesteak egg rolls, and sour cream and onion bubble bread. It's a steakhouse that remembered dinner is allowed to be fun, so expect a dressy-casual room and a check that behaves like a Vegas steakhouse check.

  32. Getting into this off-Strip speakeasy means ringing a football, which feels like a sentence from a fever dream, and then supplying a password you only get by booking ahead. A host in a vest and flat cap works the room while jazz singers handle the stage, and you can request an unlikely cover from the lounge. It's an Italian steakhouse in costume, so the red leather booths fill up with tourists.

  33. Rank 427. Capon’s Burgers

    Old-school American Burger Joint

  34. Casa Di Amore is a red-sauce Italian restaurant that also happens to be a tiki bar, a pairing that sounds like a dare and somehow holds together. The room glows red, with stained glass chandeliers shaped like rings of parrots, and the garlic bread comes buried in melted mozzarella. The chicken parm is plate-sized, and in summer there's an outdoor tiki bar out back for frozen piña coladas.

  35. Rank 427. Casa Don Juan

    Classic Mexican

  37. Chéri Rooftop is a French restaurant perched up the Eiffel Tower in Paris Las Vegas, which means you're dining in a replica of a landmark while looking at the real Strip. Expect Champagne, caviar cones, and a steak tartare that suits the date-night dress code. The chocolate soufflé takes an extra 15 minutes, a delay that couples tend to find suspiciously convenient. Eater lists it among its romantic restaurants in town.

  38. Dark Arts is a cocktail lounge hidden behind the fireplace at Grey Witch, which means you enter by walking past some LED flames like a very polite arsonist. Inside is a hunting lodge gone gothic, with animal bones, tarot art, and dried wildflowers. The drinks lean on warming spices and herbs, and there's a deep tobacco list. It's only open a few nights a week, so check Instagram before you go knocking on hearths.

  39. A casual dumpling restaurant in the Aria, where a glass-walled kitchen lets you watch cooks fold each xiao long bao by hand while you wait for a table. The soup dumplings come with vinegar sauce and a lesson in not burning your mouth. The cucumber salad and hot and sour soup are the usual sidekicks. Expect a line, mid-range bills, and a dining room full of people who have clearly done their research.

  40. Rank 427. Echo & Rig

    Steakhouse

  41. This is a casino-adjacent barbecue counter where the menu is ribs and chicken and nothing is trying to be anything else. The ribs come tender but still holding together, glazed in a sticky root beer sauce with a little char. A half-rack with half a chicken runs $17.99 if you sign up for the free player's card, which counts as the closest thing to gambling here. The sides are fine. The housemade root beer is thick and creamy.

  43. For the Win is a quick-serve burger counter inside the Resort at Summerlin's food hall, where it's one of a handful of stalls sharing a roof with dim sum and an oyster bar. The smash burgers come with grilled onions, and the Brussels sprouts get fried in beef tallow, which makes the vegetable course feel like a technicality. It's a fast, casual stop where you order at the counter and eat with your hands. Eater lists it among the best burgers in Las Vegas.

  44. Rank 427. Gen Korean BBQ

    All-you-can-eat Korean Barbecue

  45. Address

  46. Rank 427. Greenberg's Deli

    Sandwich Shop

Greenberg's is a counter-service deli tucked under the fake apartment facade inside New York-New York, which is about as close as Las Vegas gets to a bodega with a sense of humor. The morning special runs under ten dollars and includes coffee, and the croissant sandwiches arrive roughly the size of a hubcap. A pastrami and corned beef breakfast burrito also exists here, and nobody in the building seems alarmed.

  47. Rank 427. Guerrilla Pizza Company

    Detroit-style Pizzeria

Guerrilla Pizza Company is a casual Detroit-style pizza counter in the Soho Lofts space on the Strip's southern edge, where the pies come in small rectangles with caramelized, crispy edges. One of them is topped like a cheeseburger, pickles and burger sauce included, which tells you how seriously everyone is taking themselves. Order the garlic tots, wear whatever you flew in wearing, and Eater has called it the best pizza in town.

  48. This is a Guy Fieri sports bar at Caesars Palace, which means flame-adorned everything and a name that commits fully to the bit. The bottomless brunch is the sleeper move on the Strip, with banana custard French toast, brisket mac and cheese, and biscuits and gravy refilled on request. It costs less than most Vegas cocktails, and The Infatuation put it on its list of the best cheap eats in town.

  49. Rank 427. Happy Camper

    Tavern-Style Pizzeria

Happy Camper is a covered patio pizza spot at the Fashion Show Mall, which is a sentence nobody would have predicted about a mall. There are disco balls, lawn games, and fire pits, plus both cracker-thin tavern pies and chewier classic ones. The morning shift runs on bottomless mimosas and a bacon, cheddar, and egg breakfast pizza, a very Vegas answer to the question of what to do about last night. Casual, shorts-friendly, and priced like pizza.

  50. Hearthstone Kitchen and Cellar is a casual, wood-fired-pizza-and-wings restaurant at Red Rock Resort that closed and then reopened in the exact same space, which is either bold or just good real estate. It's built for easy weekends in Summerlin, with chicken lollipop wings, $1 oyster Wednesdays, and a brunch where $25 bottomless mimosas and bloody marys keep the tab honest. Eater lists it among its best Las Vegas brunches.

  51. Heavenly Pies is a pizzeria out in the Southern Highlands suburbs, run by a chef who spent years in a Venetian fine-dining kitchen and now makes pies with brie, speck, and black truffle tomato. There's also a green one loaded with asparagus and rapini, for people who want their vegetables and a crust in one motion. Eater has put it on a list of the city's top pizza, and you can order ahead on the website.

  52. Getting in means walking through a brightly lit sundry shop that sells newspapers and cherry blossom Kit Kats, then pushing a bookcase that leans inward to reveal a dim cocktail bar. Red lanterns glow overhead, neon tigers face off above leather booths, and the Japanese whiskey list rewards lingering. It sits in the Resorts World food hall, so expect conventioneers feeling very clever.

  53. High Steaks looks like every other Vegas steakhouse until you reach the "hunt" section of the menu, where elk, boar, and bison sit beside a "lion" entree that turns out to be a mushroom. That's a gentle joke on the carnivores. The rest stays in familiar territory with porterhouses, lobster chowder, and baked potatoes, then closes on Key lime doughnuts or a seasonal souffle. Eater lists it among the city's best steakhouses.

  54. Rank 427. How Ya Dough’n Pizza

    Sourdough Pizzeria

How Ya Dough'n is a casual pizza counter on the third floor of BLVD Las Vegas, which is the sort of address that requires an escalator and a little faith. The hand-tossed sourdough pies run from classic pepperoni to a pistachio number with honey and truffle oil. Dough boys, wings, and meatballs round it out, and Eater lists it among the best pizza in Las Vegas, so the mall detour has company.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. The places are 60% of it: the best of what's within reach, weighed by distance. The setting is the other 40%: how life goes in that country (how people rate their own lives, how long and how well they live, how safe they are) and what it's like right there (the air, and the weather). If the score looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
