The best beer bars in Canada, according to the experts: Air Canada, Canada's 100 Best, and the Michelin Guide have all weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. DOPO comes out on top, and the good stuff runs deepest in Vancouver.
More Less
Barrel Heart Brewing and Tank310 hold the next two places. The Golden Owl Awards show up on more of this list than any other guide, with AAA next.

Rank 1. DOPO
Tuscan Tavern
A below-ground Tuscan tavern where the kitchen leans into luxe ingredients without losing the rustic soul. The team behind it comes from fine-dining stock, and the pasta is made in-house, sauced simply. Grilled bread with whipped ricotta and pickled green tomatoes show up early and are hard to argue with. The wine list tilts Italian, and the room has a warmth that makes a two-hour dinner feel like a reasonable Tuesday. It landed on Canada's 100 Best list.

Beer Bar
A chef and a brewmaster share a converted post office in downtown Dundas, which explains both the rotating kitchen and the barrel-aged beers on tap. The menu shifts constantly, from Korean barbecue to tacos and back, so regulars who memorized last month's lineup show up to find something new. The cooking runs creative without being fussy, and the banana pudding tends to settle any debate about dessert. Michelin Bib Gourmand.
