Hawksbill turtles nest on the beach outside this Forbes Four Star resort on Saadiyat Island, which sets the tone: this is a sustainability-minded, design-forward property where the natural world is part of the pitch. A glass chandelier in the lobby riffs on the seven blues of the gulf outside, and every room faces the water. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is minutes away, though the mangroves make it easy to forget the city exists.

Mediterranean French
Fresh tomatoes and lemons land on the table the moment you sit down, an invitation to eat before you've even opened the menu. LPM is a French-Mediterranean restaurant with a global footprint and the easy, convivial energy of a place that isn't trying to impress you, which is probably how it has outlasted so many flashier neighbors. Seasonal vegetables, fresh seafood, generous meat to share. It landed on MENA's 50 Best list, and the Sunday rosé brunch draws a devoted crowd.

The views across the water to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque are almost unreasonably good from this Forbes Four Star beachfront hotel on Abu Dhabi Creek. The name means "gate to the sea," and the building's cool blue geometry makes the point without subtlety. Eight restaurants and 369 rooms inside, with the airport close enough that a late arrival doesn't ruin the first night.

A canal running through the grounds carries guests by traditional abra boat, with the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque sitting directly across the water. This large waterfront resort leans into traditional Arabian design, with shaded gardens full of birdsong and a spread of restaurants ranging from regional Gulf cooking to French fine dining. It earns a Forbes Four Star rating and draws families who want the full Abu Dhabi spectacle without sacrificing calm.

A beachfront resort on the JBR strip where the pool deck bleeds into a private beach and six bars make sure the party never has to travel far. FIVE LUXE JBR runs 222 rooms, a full spa with an indoor pool, and a kids' club, so it accommodates both the honeymoon crowd and families who want someone else to handle the entertainment. The building holds LEED Platinum certification, which feels like a flex nobody else on this stretch is making.

Giorgio Armani personally oversaw this hotel, which explains why even the door handles feel like they were agonized over. Occupying floors inside the Burj Khalifa, it's a luxury stay dressed in the brand's signature dark greys and neutrals, with nine restaurants and a top-flight spa rounding things out. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key. Dubai being Dubai, the mall next door has both an aquarium and an ice rink, just to keep things grounded.

Levantine
The lakeside terrace, glass-enclosed and hovering over the water, sets the tone for a Levantine restaurant that treats home cooking as a serious project. Generational recipes share the menu with modern riffs on classic flavors, and the claypot dishes especially carry that slow, considered quality. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand and a spot on MENA's 50 Best list. The lunch soup-and-daily special is the kind of deal that turns a quick stop into a regular habit.

Floor-to-ceiling views of the Dubai Water Canal anchor the rooms at this contemporary hotel in Business Bay, a neighborhood that puts Downtown Dubai about ten minutes away by taxi and Kite Beach not much farther. Two towers rising so high into the Dubai skyline that they're practically a navigation landmark, JW Marriott Marquis is a sprawling luxury hotel in Business Bay, steps from the canal and a short ride from the Burj Khalifa. The elevator ride up 122 floors of the Burj Khalifa is its own kind of theater, and the fine dining room at the top leans into every expectation: muted tones, impeccable uniforms, and views that make the city below look like a screen saver. The Candy Room at the end of the meal is the tell: this is a place that thinks dessert deserves its own dedicated space. Brasserie Frantzén is a sleek, moody restaurant inside Atlantis The Palm, where the kitchen draws on Japanese, French, and Scandinavian traditions in a way that sounds like a pitch but lands on the plate. Deep seating, low light, and a bar for lighter bites if you want to ease in.

Sunset views over the Arabian Gulf come with the territory at this seafood restaurant inside the Al Hamra Beach villas, where the kitchen leans into the local catch rather than hedging with an international menu. Lebanese
Sour cream and onion dip served with Ritz crackers in retro ceramic bowls is a confident opening move for a Lebanese comfort food restaurant. Set inside an AlSerkal Avenue warehouse, Middle Child has two floors of dining and an open kitchen visible through the glass front, so the energy hits before you're even through the door. It holds a spot on MENA's 50 Best Restaurants as One to Watch, which tracks for a place that makes unpretentious food feel considered.

The building alone earns a look: Zaha Hadid designed both the interiors and the H-shaped Opus tower it occupies in Downtown Dubai, and the rooms feel like sleeping inside a concept. Beds curve, bathrooms appear carved from liquid stone, and the smallest room clocks in at 40 square meters. The rooftop pool, a vast spa, and an outpost of London's Roka round out a hotel that holds a Michelin Key and treats restraint as someone else's problem.

Thousands of Swarovski crystals hang from the lobby chandelier, which tells you everything about the register Raffles The Palm Dubai is playing in. Sand-hued and vaguely palatial, this beachfront resort sits on Saadiyat Island, one of Abu Dhabi's natural islands where actual gazelles wander the grounds freely. Overwater villas were a first for Ras Al Khaimah when this Forbes Four Star resort opened them, and the setting still earns the bragging rights: a peninsula between the Hajar Mountains and the Arabian Sea, with a mangrove reserve on one side and a private beach on the other. The 174-room resort runs hard on watersports, padel, and sea-turtle conservation, so guests spend more time in wetsuits than robes, which is either a selling point or a warning.

Rugs on the floor, chandeliers overhead, and a menu built around the kabab shops of Tehran: Berenjak is a Persian grill that started in London's Soho and has since traveled well. The Dubai outpost at Dar Wasl Mall carries the same eclectic, slightly theatrical room and the same devotion to the skewer. The Michelin Bib Gourmand follows it wherever it lands. Open with a sharbat, a fruit-and-flower-petal Persian cooler, before the charcoal smoke takes over.

A gastrobar on Dubai Creek Harbour's promenade, with the skyline doing most of the interior design work through floor-to-ceiling windows. Bright wood, an open kitchen that keeps things lively, and a menu built around unfussy comfort food at prices that won't require a moment of quiet reflection. The Michelin Guide picked it up for a Bib Gourmand, which tracks with a crowd that comes back often enough to have a usual order.

Blond wood, cream walls, and a ceiling tall enough to suggest the menu won't bankrupt you: DUO is a Bib Gourmand all-day gastrobar rooted in a St. Petersburg restaurant group, transplanted to Dubai Hills Business Park. The kitchen runs Asian and European ideas side by side without needing to explain itself, and the oxtail pie with Taleggio does most of the persuading. Breakfast through dinner, with the kind of pricing that makes ordering a second round feel reasonable.

Named after a mango variety, this compact Malay grill in Jumeirah earns a Michelin Bib Gourmand for food that traces back to the team's family hawker roots in Singapore. The menu roams across Southeast Asia, and dishes like a six-hour rendang built on twenty spices show the kitchen's patience. The room is genuinely small, so bring people, order widely, and let the staff talk you through it, which they will want to do.

A casual Asian street food restaurant in JLT that grew out of a secret supper club, Hawkerboi channels the hawker markets of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar into a relaxed neighbourhood spot. A contemporary Indian brasserie tucked into a villa on Al Wasl Road, earning a Michelin Bib Gourmand for sharing plates built around the flavors of India's street food. The keema pao nods to a long-gone Bombay institution, the kulfi falooda arrives in a cloud of dry ice, and the drinks menu borrows its characters from Khadak Street itself. Japanese Noodle Shop
A ramen shop on the second floor of Mall of the Emirates, which is either a strange place to find serious Tokyo-pedigreed noodles or a perfectly logical one, depending on how you feel about air conditioning. The shoyu ramen is the draw, and the Michelin Bib Gourmand suggests the broth hasn't suffered from the journey. No reservations, but the counter usually has room, and service starts before noon.

Peacocks wander the garden terraces while the aluminum facade shifts through golds and silvers as the sun moves across it, which sets the tone nicely for a hotel that has never been shy about itself. The name means "sky" in French, which tracks for a tower standing 377 meters above Dubai Marina, currently the tallest hotel on earth. SIRO One Za'abeel is Dubai's biohacking-focused answer to a wellness property, with a 900-square-metre gym, sleep-optimised rooms, and menus built around recovery. You don't have to be training for anything to stay here, but you will feel like you should be.

A hotel attached to the world's largest shopping mall that somehow keeps its cool about it. The Burj Khalifa fills most room windows, an air-conditioned bridge connects directly to Dubai Mall, and the interiors go deliberately the other way: blond wood, clean lines, colorful art where the neighborhood would have put gold leaf. The Flo Pool Bar has the Khalifa as a backdrop, which is either very relaxing or very distracting, depending on you.

The trunk of the palm-shaped island, with Yabu Pushelberg interiors and a skyline view over Dubai Marina that explains why the pool deck fills up fast. This is a full-throttle luxury hotel where being seen is half the amenity: the beach club and restaurant circuit draw a crowd that treats both as sport. An Ottoman-inspired spa offers the counterprogram when the scene gets to be a bit much.

Floor-to-ceiling windows face the marina on every one of the 328 rooms, and the glass-walled bathrooms mean the view follows you in. Thirty floors up, the balcony faces the Gulf, and the waterfront promenade is right below. This high-rise beach hotel blends Sofitel's French-accented style with Arabic touches, and it handles both the leisure crowd and the laptop brigade without making either feel like an afterthought. Sandstone buildings that sink into the dunes rather than announce themselves above them, which is a genuine rarity within the Dubai hospitality universe. Golden columns in the lobby, and not in an ironic way. This sprawling Palm Jumeirah resort takes its Ottoman-inspired look seriously, delivering soaring interiors, a private beach, and over four hundred rooms where even the entry-level options come with a round-the-clock butler. Ten restaurants, a hammam, spa, and tennis courts mean you could theoretically never leave, which on a man-made island shaped like a palm tree is arguably the point.

XVA is a boutique hotel, gallery, and vegetarian café folded into one wind-towered building in Al Fahidi, where the alleyways are narrow enough that two people walking abreast is optimistic. Persian arches, palm motifs, and handcrafted textiles do the decorating; no alcohol, but the mint lemonade compensates more than it should.

Ninive bills itself as a contemporary urban majlis, the traditional gathering space of Bedouin community life, and the room commits to the idea: low tables, deep sofas, lanterns, and enough lush planting to make you forget you're inside a tower hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.
