  1. Rank 187. Palate

    Maximalist Southern

Palate is a sit-down restaurant where velvet chairs and chandeliers the size of small cars make the dining room look like a fantasy ballroom. The menu runs on Southern comfort food that wanders off in several directions, and the cocktails arrive with props, including one served beside steel wool that gets set on fire. Swan Dive is upstairs, so dinner here doubles as a warm-up act.

  3. This is a Mandalay Bay steakhouse where the bread basket has been replaced by complimentary duck fat fries, seasoned three ways and sent out with dips before you've touched the menu. The steaks get poached in butter before the grill, then arrive with red wine shallot butter. Tables near the entrance double as a front-row seat for convention badges rushing past, so dress for dinner and a little voyeurism.

  6. Rank 207. Ai Pazzi

    Italian

Ai Pazzi is a sit-down Italian restaurant inside the JW Marriott in Summerlin, run by Top Chef fan favorite Fabio Viviani, where servers wheel carts to your table and finish fettuccine alfredo in front of you. The mozzarella gets hand-pulled at the table too, so dinner has a bit of theater. The wagyu meatball is the size of a small planet, and a pizza counter next door handles the more casual urges.

  10. La Vecindad means "the neighborhood," and the room commits to it, with a painted sky on the ceiling, string lights, and papel picado hanging over a casual, sit-down taqueria in the Historic Commercial Center. The menu is built for groups, so expect a platter of 50 street tacos and a torta stacked with so many meats that it reads less like a sandwich than a roll call. Come hungry and bring friends.

  12. Moon Doggies is a sports bar where the kitchen keeps going long after the game has been decided, which suits both the celebrating and the consoling. The wings get fried, then tossed in a wok with teriyaki until they turn sticky, sweet, and a little charred at the edges. Thick-crust pizza with honey balsamic is the backup plan for anyone still hungry after the napkins run out.

  13. Dim sum carts still roll through this cavernous Cantonese dining room inside the Gold Coast casino, just off the Strip, which is its own kind of statement. The open kitchen turns out roast duck and walnut prawns alongside the steamed, baked, and fried parade from the trolleys. The lotus-wrapped sticky rice bundles and XO fried rice rolls are the ones to flag down. A full Cantonese menu runs all day for anyone who wants something more substantial.

  14. Rollin Smoke is a casual barbecue counter where hickory-smoked meats share the plate with hush puppies, fried okra, and dirty rice. The outlaw burger comes stacked so high with brisket, onion strings, and slaw that eating it politely is a rumor, and a sauce bar lets you add a Carolina vinegar squirt anyway. Picnic tables and a mural of a pastoral landscape do the decorating, which seems about right.

  15. Rank 207. Secret Pizza

    New York Pizzeria

Secret Pizza is a counter slice shop on the third floor of the Cosmopolitan, reached by a hallway of Rat Pack-era record sleeves that makes the whole thing feel like a bit. The secret got out years ago. Now it's a New York-style slice reheated until it could laminate your fingers, handed over by a quick-moving crew to bleary-eyed clubgoers who eat standing up in a tiny square room or carry it off into the night.

  19. A boutique-within-a-hotel concept tucked inside Park MGM, this feels like it belongs on a different block than the Strip. Jacques Garcia designed the rooms, which means rich fabrics and a faint sense of old-world theater. By day the pool is a pool; by evening it tilts Moroccan and nightclub. The bar and restaurant spread through the common spaces the way they do in New York and Los Angeles, which is to say they take over completely.

  20. Rank 207. Zuma

  21. A seafood buffet at the Palms, where locals drive off the Strip and the real event is Wednesday and Thursday lobster nights. Stations stack up with bright red tails, and you work through them with melted butter and a bucket for the wreckage. Dinner runs a bit north of forty dollars, so wear something that forgives butter, and plan the rest of your day around it like a sensible person.

  22. This is the dressier sibling of Esther's Kitchen, an upscale Italian restaurant in Tivoli Village where the focaccia arrives with roasted garlic and a plan to keep you from ordering anything else. The dough carries over to the pizzas, and the meatballs come with a square of crunchy polenta built for chasing sauce. Early evenings at the bar are busy, and patio tables overlook a fountain, which is as close to Rome as Rampart Boulevard gets.

  24. A compact caviar and seafood bar just off the Caesars Palace casino floor, where Pringles arrive with caviar French onion dip and nobody blinks. The real trick is a life-sized portrait of a sailing captain that swings open onto a purple-and-turquoise room with a stage, hosting yacht rock nights and karaoke. Expect smoked Old Fashioneds, espresso martinis, and strangers committing to "I Will Always Love You."

  25. You'll spot it by the squat brick house with Christmas lights that never come down and lace curtains that predate everyone's memory. Inside it's a casual red-sauce Italian joint with checkered tablecloths and a brick fireplace, where the portions arrive in casserole dishes and the lasagna comes buried in marinara. Grab any table you like, since nobody's fighting you for it, and expect to leave carrying leftovers.

  26. The pool deck has a screen so large it registers as a geographic feature. Circa is an adults-only casino resort on Fremont Street, a deliberate step away from the Strip, with a mid-century modernist look that leans into Vegas glamour without tipping into kitsch. The casino, sports-betting floor, and a stack of bars and restaurants fill the rest of the building for anyone who surfaces from the water.

  27. Cleaver is a steakhouse just off the Strip where the portraits are Napoleonic-era military figures, except the generals are Queen Latifah and Jack Black. The bar's cocktail menu is sorted by era, starting in the mid-1800s, and the bar team took a Spirited Award in 2024 for Best U.S. Restaurant Bar. Expect big groups, big appetites, and a mac and cheese with pork belly in it.

  28. Rank 223. Coronado Cafe

    Cajun & Creole

This is a casino coffee shop at the South Point, the kind of 24-hour diner where the real menu starts after midnight. The graveyard specials are the draw: a shrimp cocktail for under three dollars, or a small steak with eggs, hash browns, and toast for around seven. Convention badges and rodeo hats share the booths at 2am, and you walk out full and still under fifteen bucks, which in Vegas is practically a clerical error.

  29. The entrance is a walk-in freezer at the back of a Downtown ice cream shop, which is the kind of plot twist a Las Vegas cocktail bar can get away with. On the other side is an Old Hollywood-style hideaway serving movie-themed drinks, some arriving in milk pint glasses. You can also roll a pair of dice and let the bartenders improvise around your fate. Dress for a drink, not a sundae.

  30. CrunCheese is a corn dog counter in Chinatown's Shanghai Plaza, where the Korean street-food version comes battered, rolled in crunchy potato cubes, and fried until it looks like it has armor. Sausage, mozzarella, or half of each, then sugar and a sauce lineup that takes the whole thing past reasonable. It's a few dollars and made to be eaten with one hand while you browse the shops, and a second one tends to happen.

  32. Garden Buffet sits inside South Point, a good half hour south of the Strip, so the clientele skews toward locals who know where the prime rib is pink. It feels more like a neighborhood diner than a casino cafeteria, with servers who bring your drinks so you can stay put between shrimp runs. Six live stations cover everything from Mongolian bowls to wings tossed to order, and Eater and The Infatuation both list it among the city's best buffets.

  33. Rank 223. Howlin’ Ray’s

    Nashville-style Southern

Nashville-style hot chicken counter inside the Venetian's Via Via food hall, where the queue alone tells you something is happening. The LA original has a cult following, and the Vegas outpost brings the same obsessive consistency: fiery chicken sandwiches dressed with coleslaw, comeback sauce, and pickles, with heat levels running from no-heat "country" to "Howlin'," which the menu might as well label "your problem now." Grab the banana pudding as a chaser.

  34. Ichiza is a second-floor izakaya in Chinatown that opens at 5pm and keeps the kitchen going until 11 the next morning, which makes it dinner, last call, and breakfast under one roof. The menu comes with photos, a kindness to anyone past the point of reading, and the specials are scrawled on paper taped to the walls. Both Eater and The Infatuation have put it on their late-night lists, and the honey toast, a buttered cube with ice cream on top, is why.

  35. This is a resort buffet out in Summerlin, priced in the low thirties and organized around rotating theme nights. Aloha night brings oxtail stew and a whole roasted suckling pig, while fiesta night lets you build a nacho situation that Taco Bell would recognize as kin. Because it's mostly locals, the Strip's plate-piling stampede never shows up, and you can finish with warm churros dunked in chocolate sauce.

  36. Rank 223. Más Por Favor

    Mexican Cocktail Bar

Past a door that makes very little effort to hide, this cave-like cocktail bar sits behind a taco spot in a busy Chinatown plaza. The drinks lean loud: tequila infused with Flamin' Hot Cheetos, mezcal with chamoy, a margarita lightened with a splash of Corona. The kitchen next door keeps the snacks coming, birria ramen included, so nobody has to leave the cave hungry.

  37. Rank 223. Morimoto

    Japanese

  38. Naked City is a pizza kitchen tucked in the back of a bar on Fremont Street, serving thick, rectangular pies from two Buffalo expats who treat the tomato sauce as optional. Toppings pile up until the cheese goes into hiding, half the menu wears a creamy garlic sauce, and the buffalo chicken version arrives with blue cheese dressing, as the founders' hometown would insist. Come in sneakers, order at the bar.

  39. Nicco's is a steakhouse inside Durango Casino Resort, about as far from the Strip as you can get without leaving the valley, and the room seems to know it. The meat and seafood sit on display near the open kitchen, the lighting is low enough to forgive anything, and the bar does a burger for nights when a full steakhouse performance feels like too much. Locals fill the booths, including the people who work the casinos for a living.

  40. Rank 223. Phở Kim Long

    Vietnamese

A casual Vietnamese noodle shop on Spring Mountain Road that does its best work after the casinos have taken everything you brought. At 3am the room splits between people refusing to end the night and industry workers who just ended theirs. The spicy beef phở comes with a plate of jalapeños and limes, and the steam off the bowl is thick enough to cloud your glasses, which at that hour is a mercy.

  41. Three towers, each decorated in a different eclectic style, make SAHARA feel less like a single hotel than a small, casino-anchored neighborhood. The Rat Pack used to haunt the original, but the current version skipped the nostalgia and went full 21st century instead. José Andrés's Bazaar Meat anchors the dining, multiple pools and a spa handle the daylight hours, and live residencies fill the theatre after dark.

    The awards

  42. This is a casual, family-friendly Neapolitan pizzeria in Summerlin, with timber tables and a wood-fired oven that blisters each pie in just over a minute. The dough is thin and chewy and folds a little under its toppings, so you eat it with your hands and don't apologize. There's also a pear and jalapeño pie with no tomato sauce, which Naples would find alarming. Wear whatever you like, nobody is dressing up for pizza.

  43. This is a two-story steakhouse tucked inside a shopping mall, which sounds like a dare until you see the carts of cloche-covered cuts rolling past a glass-walled butcher room. The mall's painted sky keeps it permanently dusk, so nobody checks the time. Expect shellfish towers, a flaming baked Alaska, and the kind of dinner where the bill arrives in a leather folder and nobody flinches.

  44. Starboard Tack is a diner-meets-tiki-bar a short drive off the Strip, where patterned booth fabric your grandmother would approve of sits beneath a stained-glass underwater scene. The rum list is one of the bigger ones in town, the menu leans Filipino and Korean, and an indie or punk show may be winding down while you finish your kimchi fried rice. Eater and The Infatuation both list it among Vegas's best late-night spots.

  45. Rank 223. Tacos El Gordo

    Baja Taqueria

Handmade tortillas folded around adobada, lengua, buche, or suadero, with no basic chicken option because the menu has standards. This cafeteria-style Tijuana taco counter across from Resorts World runs until 4 a.m. on weekends, which explains the line at 2 a.m. full of people who've just remembered they're hungry. The tacos are petite, so order accordingly. Eater named it among the Strip's 38 essential restaurants.

  46. This is a classic Vegas buffet, the kind with marble counters, smoked salmon spirals, and enough seating for 600 hungry people who have pre-paid for their ambition. Expect a carving station, pizza with dough from a nearby Spago, and sushi, all at a price that makes a mid-priced casino steakhouse look reasonable. It's a morning-to-mid-afternoon affair, so dress for comfort and plan to skip dinner.

  47. A sports bar inside the Durango that never closes, which means the kitchen keeps its dinner and breakfast menus running side by side once the clock passes eleven. Grab a stool near the sportsbook or take the plant-filled patio, then order coffee and a beer in whichever sequence your night demands. Pancakes and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls share a table here without anyone raising an eyebrow, and brussels sprouts at 2am are a real option.

  48. A dark wood-paneled steakhouse tucked deep inside Circus Circus, which is a bit like finding a tuxedo in a ball pit. There's a dry-aging closet, oil paintings of cows the size of garage doors, and an open kitchen where you can watch your order get chopped and grilled. Entrees arrive with pretzel bread and black bean soup, and the martinis are essentially cups of gin. Expect resort-casual and a neighbor with a story.

  49. The Underground is a Prohibition-themed speakeasy tucked beneath the Mob Museum, and yes, there's a daily password, which the museum's website will hand over to anyone who asks nicely. The brick walls double as a 1920s exhibit hall, with flapper outfits and a cocktail kit hidden in a briefcase. It also runs its own working moonshine distillery, so the bootlegging is technically legal, which is the one disappointing part.

Past the door, everything is red, a DJ spins vinyl from blues to 2000s throwbacks, and the guava-and-strega Hidden Passion arrives in a pineapple-shaped glass. Eater and The Infatuation both keep it on their hidden-bar lists.

  51. This is the buffet at The Cosmopolitan, and its whole personality is built around the morning after. Waffles, crunchy fried chicken, and crab legs juicy enough to turn the plate into a splash zone all appear, along with a salad bar that holds its own. Plenty of dishes come pre-portioned in little bowls, which spares shaky hands the humiliation of a slippery serving spoon. Come hungry, come dehydrated, and don't dress up.

  52. Rank 258. DE Thai Kitchen

    Southern Thai

This is a Thai street food counter in the Arts District, run out of a kitchen roughly the size of a walk-in closet, which explains why most people take it to go. The pad see ew runs about fifteen dollars and arrives with thick, chewy noodles, broccoli, and shredded chicken. The neighbors have bigger dining rooms and louder reputations, and this place seems fine with that. Order the Thai iced tea, then decide how disciplined you feel about the mango sticky rice.

  53. Market Street Cafe is a big, cheap Hawaiian-leaning diner tucked inside the California Hotel, which makes it the logical landing spot for any group whose Vegas plans collapsed by noon. The menu runs on a clock: prime rib specials show up in the late afternoon, and the oxtail soup waits until after 11pm, a schedule that suits people with nowhere else to be. Wear whatever you slept in.

  56. A hotel with over 1,500 rooms that somehow still has a personality, Virgin Las Vegas leans into its brand's irreverence rather than the usual Vegas gilded-palace routine. The pool situation is a full beach club, there's a Nobu on property, and the entertainment calendar runs more interesting than most strips along the Strip. The Michelin Guide has it among its selected hotels, which tracks for a place that treats design as something other than an afterthought.

  60. Rank 264. Red Plate

    Cantonese

Red Plate is a Cantonese fine-dining room tucked away at the Cosmopolitan, small enough and quiet enough that you forget you're a few floors above a casino. Tea-based cocktails share the menu with evening dim sum and roast meats, and a whole suckling pig or duck can be ordered ahead if you're organized or celebrating. The chef was a James Beard semifinalist for Best Chef: Southwest.

  61. This is a strip-mall sushi counter on the Westside, no frills, where the sashimi is spotless and the nigiri keeps things simple. The menu is gentle on beginners, with a starter platter built around the California roll, while the chirashi bowl comes loaded like a small aquarium. Reservations go through a phone line that only picks up at certain hours, which is either a hassle or a personality, depending on your patience.

  62. José Andrés brought his Spanish tapas restaurant to the third floor of the Cosmopolitan, and the room has the kind of energy that makes you order more than you planned. The menu leans modern, built around small plates, and the kitchen flies ingredients in from Spain to back up the claim. Jamón Ibérico, gambas al ajillo, croquetas, pan de cristal con tomate: the classics are all here, done without apology.

  63. This is a counter-service Hawaiian and Filipino spot in a Las Vegas strip-mall unit, decorated like a beach cottage that has never heard of the Strip, complete with an island mural and a "let your dreams set sail" sign. The cashier calls everyone sweetheart. Plates run big enough to split, and the Spam musubi travels well, which is useful if you're headed somewhere with a bar and a dim view of outside food.

  64. Park on Fremont is a gastropub just off the neon chaos of the Fremont Street Experience, serving burgers, wings, and chicken sandwiches with a cold local draft. The back patio is packed with cacti and shrubs in colorful pots, guarded by garden gnomes, and on weekends a DJ turns brunch into a small garden party. A breakfast shot of Jameson and bacon is available all day, for those committed to the bit.

  65. Rank 267. The Vault

    Cocktail Bar

The Vault is a cocktail bar tucked behind a gilded door inside the Bellagio, occupying what used to be the casino's actual cage, which gives the whole room a pleasantly loaded history. A chandelier does most of the atmospheric heavy lifting. The drink list leans into vintage spirits and old recipes, so if you're not sure what you want, describe an era and let them run with it.

  66. Rank 267. With Love Always

    Burger Joint

This is a fast-casual smashburger counter in Centennial Hills, run by the same people behind Sorry Not Sorry ice cream, so the line-out-the-door routine arrived pre-rehearsed. Black Angus patties get pressed on a hot griddle until the edges go lacy, then land on a potato roll with American cheese and thin onions. The menu is short, the prices are fast-food friendly, and nobody is here to dress up for a burger.

Past it is a loud, candlelit American share-plates restaurant where the menu roams from raw bar to prime meats to toasts piled with things like lobster and caviar. Cocktails are a serious part of the evening. The room is built for a group with nowhere to be tomorrow.

Northern-style chicken pho is the organizing principle at this Vietnamese restaurant tucked into a Chinatown strip mall, where the room is bright, spacious, and runs on a boisterous pop soundtrack. The menu is long and ordered by QR code, but the chicken pho, with its fragrant broth and springy noodles, is the reason most people show up. 87. Echo is a listening lounge in the Arts District where the vintage McIntosh sound system is treated like the guest of honor and the room is arranged around it, living-room style. Wednesdays bring soft jazz or lively blues, and other nights a resident DJ spins classic rock or hip-hop. Cauliflower ceviche tostadas and a mound of papas bravas buried under grated cheese keep everyone busy between songs. Nobody here is trying to shout over anything.

    Sandwich Shop

This is a counter-service breakfast sandwich shop that came up from Los Angeles and now collects sleepy tourists in a line that wraps around the building from early morning until noon. The sandwiches are warm, built to be carried, and priced like a sensible meal in a town that prefers otherwise. Eggs go on brioche or baguette, sometimes with steak, and nobody inside is dressed for anything beyond the walk back to the Strip.

Eat Score

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

      Stay Score

Four fifths of the score is the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin Key outweighs a listicle. The last fifth is where it is: the ranked places to eat and things to do around it, and how safe the country is. When you sort by what's nearby, distance from you changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. The places are 60% of it: the best of what's within reach, weighed by distance. The setting is the other 40%: how life goes in that country (how people rate their own lives, how long and how well they live, how safe they are) and what it's like right there (the air, and the weather). If the score looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
