    Hakka

    Miaoli Hakkanese-style glutinous rice balls are the whole point here, stuffed with pork and vegetables and made from year-old round-grain sticky rice for that particular chewy pull. It's a casual counter spot that's been around forever, with a second-generation owner still running the same recipe his mother built the place on. The scallion oil chicken drumsticks have their own following. Check social media before you go, because the hours are their own puzzle.
