  53. Rank 53. Schwarzer Adler

    Alpine, Classic Cuisine

Schwarzer Adler is a cosy alpine inn in the village of Jochberg that feels like it's been around forever, and the food matches the setting. The menu runs from Wiener schnitzel and cordon bleu to proper game dishes, all done with real care. Wooden benches, bare rustic tables, vintage lamps, and walls covered in small framed pictures fill out the room. The crowd tends to look like they've just come off the mountain, and honestly that's the right vibe.

  54. Rank 54. BOU4

    Modern French, International

Four tables, 14 seats, one sitting, and everyone starts at 6pm sharp. BOU4 is a tiny fine dining room inside Hotel Jägerhof where the chef personally walks his technically precise, French-leaning plates over to your table. The menu changes weekly and runs four or six courses, with Asian and Levantine touches keeping things interesting. Book well ahead, obviously, because this place fills up fast.
