The Top 100 Restaurants in Miami
The best restaurants in Miami, by the professional record: Time Out, Eater, and Miami New Times have all weighed in, and their honors are what rank this list. Klaw comes out on top.
L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami and Stubborn Seed hold the next two places. Michelin Guide shows up on more of this list than any other guide, with Miami New Times close behind.

Rank 2. L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami
Modern French
The counter wraps around an open kitchen in the Miami outpost of Joël Robuchon's global fine dining brand, which holds two Michelin stars and brings the full Paris treatment, rosewood walls, leather chairs, tasting menus, to the Design District. The kitchen leans on Robuchon's classics while gesturing toward local flavors. This is special-occasion territory, dressed and priced accordingly, with the kind of service that makes you feel the bill was entirely your idea.

Rank 3. Stubborn Seed
Contemporary New American
The glass-fronted kitchen puts the cooking on full display at this sleek, intimate fine dining spot on a busy Miami Beach corner. Jeremy Ford runs an ambitious tasting menu that pulls in Latin and Asian influences, and the kitchen supplies itself from its own organic farm in Redland, which is either admirable or showing off. Probably both. Michelin has given it a star, and the room fills accordingly.

Vietnamese
There's a karaoke machine hidden somewhere in this Vietnamese restaurant near the county courthouse, and it tells you everything about the vibe. The team runs the place like a party they're throwing for you, with wings glazed in fish sauce caramel and tamarind ribs you can eat with your hands. No stilettos required, no DJ, no velvet rope. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand and a spot on the New York Times' 25 best Miami restaurants list.

Rank 3. The Surf Club Restaurant
New American
The amber-lit dining room inside a restored Art Deco landmark sets the mood before anyone opens a menu. Thomas Keller's Florida debut is a bistro with the feel of a very good private club, all plush banquettes and a handsome vintage bar. The Continental cooking leans into the nostalgia without disappearing into it, and the kitchen's sauces are quietly doing the heavy lifting. It holds a Michelin star.
-
Rank 6. Ariete
French-influenced New American
Patio or dining room, the kitchen sends the same meal either way, which tells you something about how this Coconut Grove fine-dining room operates. Michael Beltran's French-inflected New American menu earns a Michelin star on the strength of sauces that feel like the actual point of each dish, with venison tartare and bone marrow sabayon as a case in point. The kind of place where the bread course quietly becomes a highlight.

A pocket-sized wine bar in South Miami where a short, rotating menu does more than most restaurants twice its size. The kitchen counter is the best seat in the house, which is saying something given how few seats there are. The team behind it landed on Bon Appétit's best new restaurants list and The New York Times' Miami roundup, and a James Beard semifinalist nod followed. Small plates, natural pours, and a room that fills up fast.

Mexican
Heritage corn sourced from across the Americas and seafood pulled from nearby Florida waters set the agenda at this Coconut Grove Mexican restaurant. The chef's commitment to sustainable sourcing is the kind of thing that could easily tip into lecture, but here it shows up quietly in the food itself. A Michelin star for cooking that takes indigenous ingredients seriously without asking you to feel guilty about dinner.

Cocktail bites in a wood-paneled lounge come first, then you move to the intimate dining room for a multicourse contemporary menu that pulls ingredients from New Zealand, Key Largo, and wherever else the chef's attention has landed that season. Tristan Brandt holds a Michelin star here, and the room earns the quiet formality: unhurried, precise, the kind of fine dining that still believes in professional service without apology.

Indian
Rows of labeled spice jars line the walls, which tells you something about how seriously this contemporary Indian restaurant takes its pantry. The chef sources ingredients from his own farm and runs a tight menu that swings between fiery naan and delicate tuna bhel without losing focus. It holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand and landed on the New York Times' Miami list. The suburban strip-mall setting is the only thing that doesn't match the ambition.

Named for the chef's grandmother, this Michelin-starred Israeli restaurant in North Miami pulls its menu from hyperlocal ingredients and rotates dishes often enough that running out of something is part of the deal. The chef's counter is where you want to be, watching Middle Eastern flavors get handled with quiet precision. The staff reads the room well enough to steer you through whatever's left, which turns out to be a feature, not a bug.
-
A gilded woolly mammoth by Damien Hirst anchors the courtyard outside, and the gold-domed dining room inside doesn't exactly dial it down. This hotel restaurant at the Faena runs a short menu that pulls from across Asia, loosely interpreted, with dishes that move between sweet, savory, and spicy in the same bite. The kind of place where the room is doing a lot of work, and the food quietly keeps pace.
-
Dim sum from a chef who treats borders as loose suggestions, set inside a ground-floor office building in Coral Gables that looks like it should house a dentist. The dumplings started as a pop-up and earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand and a James Beard semifinalist nod before finding a permanent home here. The cooking pulls from China, Japan, and Italy in the same breath, and somehow it coheres. A Niman Ranch short rib filling alongside charred cabbage in chili butter will tell you more than any summary.
-
Rank 17. Chef's Counter at MAASS
Contemporary New American
Eight seats face an open kitchen inside the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale, which is about as good a view as a tasting menu gets. The chef's team works through a contemporary New American menu that pulls from French technique and Japanese ingredients, with Florida slipping in where it belongs. A Michelin star keeps it honest. Dress accordingly, and maybe clear the next morning.
-
Rank 17. Elcielo Miami
Peruvian
A tableside "chocotherapy" ritual, where chocolate is poured over your hands mid-meal, tells you exactly what kind of tasting menu this is. Chef Juan Manuel Barrientos runs a multisensory Colombian experience in a sleek stone-and-wood room with an open kitchen and backlit bar. The parade of small bites leans theatrical, and the crowd is fully on board. It holds a Michelin star.
-
A handful of counter seats face an open kitchen where the team is quietly asking what Cuban food could be if it kept its roots and borrowed ideas from everywhere else. The Michelin-starred result is a tasting-counter experience that feels personal rather than performative, with most ingredients coming from South Florida farms and ranches. Expect refined, composed cooking: familiar flavors refracted just enough to stop you mid-bite.
-
Rank 17. Le Jardinier Miami
French
Tucked into Miami's Design District among the fashion boutiques, this French fine dining room holds a Michelin star and reads exactly like its neighborhood: sleek, considered, and a little pleased with itself in the best way. The seasonal menu leans light for the category, big flavors without the weight that usually comes with a three-hour dinner. The vegetable-forward cooking is the point here, not a concession to it.
-
Rank 21. Cotoa
Latin American
Ecuadorian and Peruvian cooking meet in a North Miami restaurant where the room feels genuinely celebratory without trying too hard. Chef Alejandra Espinoza runs a menu that moves from coastal ceviches through braised stews and into cassava fritters, all of it vivid and warm in a way that matches the decor. A Michelin Selected restaurant that doesn't feel like it's holding its breath about it.

Mediterranean
The blue door and whitewashed facade in Miami's Design District look like someone shipped a Greek island courtyard over wholesale, and the interior mostly confirms it: mature trees, orchids, and ceiling fans shading wood tables outdoors. This mezze-heavy Mediterranean bistro earns a Michelin Bib Gourmand on small plates, baked feta, and grilled fish, with house bread arriving in little paper bags. The honey pie with salted shortbread crust is the reason to save room.

The courtyard at this Design District gastropub has been full since before the neighborhood had boutiques worth shopping in. Michael Schwartz's wood-fired, farm-sourced menu holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand and landed a New York Times best-of list, which hasn't made the regulars any harder to find. Concrete floors, a good bar, and a crowd that ranges from deal-closers to friend-catchers keep the room feeling like somewhere rather than somewhere to be seen.

Paper lanterns, deep red booths, and a playlist that makes the room feel like a set from a film you can't quite place. Double Luck is a Chinese-American restaurant that began as a pop-up and earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand once it settled into a permanent home. The duck salad comes piled with crispy shredded duck over sesame cucumber, and the sweet and sour pork belly is the kind of dish that makes a cliché feel newly earned.

Rank 27. Mano Libera
Italian
A dining room with a hand-shaped table at its center sets the tone for this Neapolitan Italian spot in South Miami. Antipasti and secondi arrive family-style for the table to share, while the menu leans into Neapolitan classics, slow-cooked ragù and pasta alla Genovese, reworked with a chef's eye for unexpected pairings. The cocktail list skews international, the service stays warm, and the whole thing landed on the 50 Top Italy world ranking.

Concrete walls, candles, and a staff you could count on one hand: this Little Havana tasting menu spot runs on a kind of controlled intensity that bigger kitchens couldn't pull off. The chef and a sous cook, plate, and clear the room themselves, turning out a frequently changing contemporary menu where the roasted plantain brioche, served hot with caramelized coconut butter, appears to be non-negotiable. Counter seats put you closest to the action.

Mediterranean
Sitting inside the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale, this modern Mediterranean restaurant earns its own reason to show up, with a menu that pulls from Levantine cooking and slips in Floridian touches along the way. The room faces the pool and the Atlantic beyond it, which is either inspiring or distracting depending on your dining companion. The kitchen leans into spreads, skewers, and the kind of food that makes a long dinner feel easy.

Cantonese
Getting to this moody Cantonese fine dining room means running the gauntlet of the Fontainebleau lobby, a spectacle of beach bodies and night owls that does nothing to prepare you for the dark, clubby calm inside. Ornate wooden slat dividers and sleek marble tables set the scene, the music keeps the bass low and steady, and the kitchen leans hard into high-quality seafood alongside Cantonese classics like Peking duck with all its crêpes and hoisin.

Rank 34. Macchialina
Italian
The tiramisu gets a Miami rewrite here, dulce de leche cream under a cap of espresso granita, and that instinct runs through everything at this snug Italian restaurant on Alton Road. Tufted banquettes and a covered patio set the mood, the wine list runs almost entirely Italian, and the bar pours house-infused grappa in flavors like chai and chamomile. The pasta is made in-house, and regulars fill the room nightly like they never considered going anywhere else.

Spanish
The oyster comes out and someone brands it tableside with a hot coal before dousing it in ponzu and rice vinegar mayo, which sets the tone for the rest of the meal. This is a Spanish tapas restaurant in downtown Miami with concrete floors, a dim room, and servers who dress like they just came from somewhere better. Paellas and seafood-forward small plates are made for groups and loud tables. Next door, the same team runs a natural wine bar.

Blue corn tortillas made from scratch, with corn sourced from small Midwest farms and nixtamalized in-house, are what this casual beachside taco spot in North Beach built its reputation on. The chef was early to the whole process in Miami, and the operation has since grown into a local institution. Palm trees, ocean air one block over, and salsas worth asking about, especially the charred jalapeño.

Wood-fired New American
The team behind Boia De runs this wood-fired New American spot a few doors down, with no gas stove in sight. What's surprising is that vegetables do most of the heavy lifting: the lasagna sheets are made from mustard greens, and the menu treats produce with the same care you'd expect from a proper steakhouse. Pizza and some meat round things out, but the room is casual enough that kids and couples share tables without anyone feeling out of place.

A short, ever-rotating menu of around eight dishes anchors this casual neighborhood spot in coral gables, where everything is made in house and the cooking bounces freely between Venezuelan, Japanese, and American touchpoints. The crab arepa alone explains the Michelin Bib Gourmand. Coffee is taken seriously, the flan has a following, and the room runs warm in the way that happens when the people who opened a place still work it every night.

Rank 42. Phuc Yea
Vietnamese
Red lanterns wrap a concrete compound on Biscayne that runs a full-time DJ alongside its pho, because why not. This Vietnamese restaurant in the MiMo district leans into the party without letting it eat the kitchen, and the Michelin Bib Gourmand suggests the kitchen holds its own. The food is big-portioned and boldly seasoned, built to share across a loud table. Someone nearby will almost certainly start singing.

The Cuban sandwich here starts with pork butt marinated for a full week before it ever meets the press. This old-school Little Havana sandwich shop holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and there's nearly always a line snaking through the narrow emerald-green room to prove the point. A short rib empanada with aji amarillo sauce has been the anchor of this Palm Beach restaurant's menu long enough that regulars would riot if it disappeared. Chef Clay Conley runs a contemporary American kitchen where crudos, pastas, and small plates rotate with the seasons, though a handful of signatures stay put. Half-orders of pasta let you try more than one, which is the kind of quiet generosity that keeps locals coming back.

Peruvian
A strip-mall raw bar in North Miami Beach that you will absolutely drive past the first time. The menu runs about a dozen dishes, no starters, no desserts, just Peruvian seafood prep done with real focus: causas, ceviche, and beautifully cured fish with clean, bright sauces. Counter seating, a warm room, and a Michelin Bib Gourmand for the kind of cooking that doesn't need a dramatic backdrop to make its case.
-
Rank 50. El Turco
Turkish
A glass-walled kitchen kiosk tiled in blue and white anchors this casual Turkish café tucked inside a shopping enclave, with most of the action happening at outdoor tables under old oak trees. The menu runs breakfast and mezze all day, with house-baked börek, manti, and egg dishes that lean on Turkish pantry flavors rather than brunch clichés. The Michelin Guide gave it a Bib Gourmand, which tracks for a spot this unfussy and this good at what it does.

Foie toast, a round of goose liver ganache on rye with a dot of strawberry preserves, sets the tone at this contemporary Japanese fine dining room in Coral Gables. Backlit wood slats arc over the counter like a wave frozen mid-break, and the room earns its reputation before the food arrives. Hiyakawa is a contemporary Japanese restaurant in Wynwood doing both omakase at the counter and a la carte, with top-grade seafood flown in from Japan sharing the menu with lamb chops served over burning rosemary. It's the kind of place where the theatrics feel earned rather than borrowed.

A tiny Thai tapas spot tucked into Little Havana with no reservations and a line to prove it. The menu mixes familiar standbys with Northern Thai specialties, khao soi among them, and the kitchen sends plates out faster than you can clear them, so order more than you think you need. The amber glow and dramatic ceiling make Calle Ocho feel like another city entirely once the door closes. This is a contemporary Mexican restaurant with a South Florida accent, where the kitchen folds king crab and ikura into the menu as casually as it handles lamb barbacoa with house-made corn tortillas. A well-stocked bar anchors the room, and the dessert cart has the confidence to finish things with black truffle.
-
Two restaurants got merged into one, and somehow it worked. This neighborhood spot in Palm Beach Gardens runs a kitchen-sink menu that swings from lamb croquetas and deviled eggs to smashburgers and pork ramen without apology. The seasonal focus keeps things moving, so the menu shifts often. Casual enough for a weeknight, but the cooking has enough range to hold your attention longer than the strip-mall address might suggest.
-
Peacock motif artwork runs through the dining room, where velvet seating in green and mustard yellow sets a warmer tone than you'd expect from a strip-mall address. This is a sit-down Indian restaurant with a cocktail program, leaning into regional flavors rather than the usual greatest-hits menu. The Kerala curried beef short rib and lamb samosas with cilantro mint chutney give you a sense of where the kitchen's attention actually goes.
-
A dozen warm wood chairs at a blonde counter in Coral Gables is where the chef's Japanese and Filipino heritage quietly collide. This intimate omakase pulls you through a procession of snacks, sushi, and small surprises, including a Kumamoto oyster served in a dashi "shell" and madai sliced to resemble a rose. The meal closes on miso ice cream, which sounds like a twist but feels inevitable by the time it arrives.
-
The DJ booth is on the ground floor, the kitchen is upstairs, and somehow it all holds together. Kaori is an upscale Asian fusion restaurant and bar in Brickell where the menu is as considered as the two-story concrete-and-wood room around it. Dishes lean toward the rich end, with A5 beef and local fish in electric curry sharing the menu with a few genuinely clever small plates.

Isan Thai
A tuk tuk parked in the back of a Fort Lauderdale strip mall sets the tone at this no-reservations Isan Thai restaurant, where the menu runs well past the usual curry-and-pad-thai circuit. The kitchen leans into the northeastern Thai repertoire, and when they ask how spicy you want it, they mean it as a real question. A shopping-center address in Palm Beach Gardens doesn't telegraph much, but this large, contemporary restaurant runs a genuinely globe-trotting menu under a chef whose Indian background keeps surfacing alongside duck confit egg rolls, shrimp and grits, and a solid burger. The paratha alone is a reason to order bread. It stays packed most nights, which makes sense once you realize almost nothing on the menu belongs to the same cuisine as anything else.

Rank 68. Torno Subito Miami
Modern Italian
Massimo Bottura's modern Italian restaurant sits inside The Moore, a hotel and private club in the Design District, and the room earns its keep before the food arrives, all natural light and color. The kitchen leans into South Florida with a cacio e pepe finished with candied Florida citrus zest, and the famous lemon tart gets a Key lime rewrite. Playful without being casual, and priced accordingly.
