Regio's is a casual Mexican breakfast-and-lunch spot tucked practically under the SR-51 overpass, brighter inside than the exterior suggests. Breakfast runs all day, the burritos are large enough to count as a structural element, and they come out hot and genuinely juicy. Phoenix New Times gave it Best Breakfast Burrito in 2025.

Rekas is a butcher shop and deli in the old Cincinnati tradition, where you can take home a porterhouse or just let someone else do the work and order a Wagyu roast beef sandwich. The team behind Wyoming Meat Market built this one, and it shows in the quality of what's in the case.

Retrograde is a bright, clean coffee shop in City Heights, and by midmorning it fills with the laptop crowd, the same remote workers who lost their last roost when a beloved Nations spot closed. They're easy to pardon, since the whipped feta and prosciutto toast tastes like a Germantown brunch with the reservation and the markup removed. Nashville Scene named it the best thing on toast in 2025.
